Wednesdays winning Subway rides to Tea and Coffee 18JUL12
Happy Noon!
Just a quick open today,...we got some nice non greasy scones and pastries,...but there is Bacon if you are so inclined on a hot day as today!
Just wanted to say thanks to OBJ for the enjoyable evening out with Del and company. Subway surfing can have it's moments!
That burger is still sitting in my tummy though,..hehe.
Hopefully more NE gatherins to come,..Comic Con in Oct!
I refuse to step outside today if I can help it,..and will opts to order in.
We managed to get out of our morning shower just in time to discover that we've lost all our water pressure. I'm not sure if this was a scheduled maintenance thing but if not... well at least I've got a full pitcher of tea in the fridge. Hopefully it's back by this afternoon. I have bread to bake! I figured I'd try something called Peasant Bread today. I'm not at all sure what it is but I noticed that coffee is an ingredient, so I figure it's a must.
Sounds like ya'll had fun over there on the other coast. I hope there's pictures and anecdotes =)
Congrats to Alditha on getting the job by the way. I really will get better about being timely in replies.
It was a quick trip down to NYC to catch a Yankees game last night. We unfortunately ran into some traffic problems on the way in, but it was still pretty neat overall. Welby, it was great to see you, and Comic-Con indeed!
I have errands to run and boxes to unpack and ... bleah.

No pics that I recall!
They would be a sweaty hot mess anyways,..thank goodness for AirConditioned subways!
I'd try some peasant bread, if not for just the name,...!

There are many more things I have read and appreciated lately, but I have been keeping kinda quiet.
Got more yard work done today. There is more to do, but between the rising temperatures and running out of room for the yard refuse, we have decided we are done for today. I probably ought to work on my sewing room/guest room, since my sister-in-law and her family are coming for a visit in a few weeks. That room scares me. =(
Hope everyone is well.
Never try to teach a troll to sing. It frustrates you and annoys the troll.

We headed out this morning and got a load of... well really everything we've been looking to get for the past few weeks (which probably sounds like more than it really was). Our Roomba now has his googly eyes and our posters have frames (my poor, poor Zelda poster has gone through a few too many moves to have given up on now) and I have pants for the get up and yarr. We even got back just in time for my order of wood to come in the mail and that was all great stuff. I ordered a "Grab Bag" of linden and got about twice what I would normally have gotten in the store. So that's not bad at all.
Also I made a mini mantle yesterday. I'm supposed to be working on the real deal this week. >_>
This was just a cute chibi-sized version to go on Alditha's mannequin thingie for modeling purposes. Didn't turn out to be useful but I thought it was still kinda neat.
And I think it's safe to say that Deadpool won ComicCon this year.

It's pretty hefty for bread. In addition to the cup and a half of coffee there's about 5-6 cups of whole grain flour in this thing. The loaf itself weighs a couple pounds, which is kinda impressive to me. Beefy, wheaty stuff!
I guess if the peasant wasn't too hungry it could double as a hammer, cudgel or other blunt instrument...
