    Enmity of the Dourhands

I am a relatively new player, a dwarf Guardian. Been exploring traits and realized I do not seem to have the deed for the first 3...where do I get it? All research has been circular...THANKS!

A good place to finish this deed quickly is in the docks in Ered Luin. Be aware that racial slayer deeds start at specific levels. I believe the first level won't open up for you until level 13.

edit: look at this page in the lorebook: http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Racewarf
Scroll down to the "deeds" section, it tells you what level you have to be to begin each slayer deed.

Just for clarity: redgold9 means the Kheledul docks which are north of Duillond and east of Gondamon, not the elven docks in Celondim.

In addition to the above information, according to this site, you must be level 13 to open that first level of Enmity of the Dourhands.

Yep, well, I am level 21 which is why I am concerned about still not having this deed. I have certainly killed many Dourhand Dwaves, I was in the areas named above, hoping killing some more would grant me the deed, but it has not, of yet.

Therefore, I was wondering if perhaps I had to complete some specific quests or quest chain to grant the deed. For instance, I never completed "Protect the Hunt" I think it is...it's a lvl 10 (I think) quest that requires you to kill a couple each of 2 types of Dourhands...

Do you have ANY deeds at all, in your regional tabs? I just wanted to make sure you completed the intro quest outside of Thorin's Hall when you loaded in from the Skorgrim's Tomb instance. It's easy to miss because I think you have to run up the stairs from Frerin's Court to get to the NPC. If you forget to do this, you won't be granted the Novice trait and that bars you from opening deeds. Make sure you don't have any Intro quests in your quest log.

I'll check when I get home, but I thought I did...however, when I go to the "Characters" tab and look up my guy (Huffllepuff) I dont think I see any Regional Deeds...maybe I didnt complete the intro quest.

If you have the Milestone Skill, then you must have completed the intro quest, yes? Cause I know I have the milestone skill

I believe so, yes. Do you have the Riding Skill? That's barred from purchase until you've completed the intro, too. The only other thing I can think of is that you already completed the deed without realizing it, which when you're busy hacking and slashing, deeds can be easy to miss. Go into your Racial deeds tab and check the Completed box, just to make sure. If so, Tier II may not be open yet, if you haven't reached the required level for it.

I am not sure how much this matters, but I started as F2P, but I went to VIP to deal with the whole riding skill thing before I was level 20 (walking sucks).

SO, yes I have the ride skill.

I've also done the quest where you have to ride around Hunsacher stables to be able to purchase any steed other than the starter steed, but that quest I did once I had hit level 20.

I'll look, but I am sure I did not inadvertently complete the Deed...besides, there is Dourhands I (50), II (100) and III (150) so I assumed it would still be there.

The reason I know I dont have it is because my Head Butt attack is not unlocked so I cannot have completed it. When I get home here soon, I will see what I have and see if I can track things down.

It's not perfect, but the Wiki seems to be pretty good at summing up this kind of thing:

To find Deeds, open your Deed Lot [ shift + L ]. At the top, select the "Race/Class/(etc)" tab. Then try the diff tabs at the bottom* (don't have that one memorized).

(* These "tabs" are easy to overlook - they look like dangly decorations, perhaps fobs or bookmarks, but they are tabs.)

Apparently, and I have no idea why, I had to do the instance "Rescue by Moonlight". Once I did that, it popped right up *shrug*. Maybe I did have it and hadnt seen it because of the tabs.

In any event, I have gotten 2 racial traits opened and equipped.

    Thanks for all the help!
