Update: 2 hours later and I'm still getting the same error.

"An update error occurred:"
"A connection attempt failed."

And then the launcher keeps on retrying to connect with the same error each time.
Anyone else getting this error?

Update: I figured out what was wrong. I had internet explorer in WORK OFFLINE mode. I didn't know the launcher was that closely linked to IE.
