Was this a good pickup??? Good buy for new players!
So I had already bought the Mithril edition which got me some cool stuff for $15 (heard it's on sale this week at Gamespot for less though)
Then I got the Steam starter pack for $15 this weekend which has more cool stuff plus TP
So, I am sitting on lots of TP and quest packs when I realize I only need two more packs before I have them all for under level 60 - need Angmar and Forochel - which are on sale this week for 50% off
Check my math: For $30 I got lots of TP, mounts, and all the quest packs up to level 60
{Given that I am a slow player and it took a year to get to lvl 40 in WOW, I think I am set for quite a while}
Anyone else think of anything I might need? Should I get the rest of the quest packs??
I thought the Premium Wallet might be good but will it work on my existing chars???

Go for it. If nothing else, having more quest packs means you can vary what content you use to level up. You have more access to more deeds, which means more potential TP earnings per character.

If it didn't work on existing characters, all of us who have been playing for more than the 3 months since its release would be awfully upset! Yes, it works on all you existing and future characters. I love it!
There isn't a new icon or anything. You'll just find that anytime you drop an item into your inventory that CAN go into your wallet, it will disappear and be put there. So you can yank such items out of your Vault and they'll just disappear. Note that items in green text in your Premium Wallet are shared between all your characters on the same server. So don't spend all your Skirmish Marks on one character if you wanted some for another character!
If you have the TP, I'd go for Shared storage if you are planning on having multiple toons, esp for crafting or additional bags. I just got the Steam pack and spent most of my TP on QPs.
Premium wallet is not something most would say one ''needs''.
+1 milestone? The ability to pick TWO locations to 'port back and forth to is huge. (downside - per Character, not per Account)
Auction House Access? (Huge if you are serious about Crafting/Farming materials to make big money)
Extra Character Slot(s)? (personal choice - do you enjoy multiple alts?)
Rune Keeper? Warden? (again, not ''needed'', but...)
Premium wallet is a better buy than extra milestones by a big margin.
Milestones share cooldown, are per character and really not needed at higher levels at all. My champion has fast travel to bree, thorins hall, shire homesteads, breeland homesteads, Lone-lands (ost forod), Mirkwood, Enedwaith, Great River and Dunland plus the milestone skill - all of that can be had for free. At high levels you almost exclusively travel between Dunland and Great River when you move at all.
If you travel a lot, getting 1 month of VIP to unlock fast travel on all your characters is a better deal in my view - at high levels 1 month is all you need to get great river items for all your end game characters.
You have auction house access as a premium member, which you will be if you bought TP.
If you want extra character slots and Warden and RK you are better off just buying the Moria expansion pack with TP - it will give you 2 extra slots, unlock warden and RK.

"At higher levels" being the important distinction.
My L 18 alt can 'port between the Esteldin Craft Hall and the latest/current quest/farming area. That's right now, not "at some theoretical end-game time in the future". To me, that is solid gold against what a wallet has to offer.
Personally, I find quest packs to be the priority for fresh non-VIP accounts. Not only are the quests both the meat of the game story-wise, they are the most efficient way to level as well. Also, each next quest pack unlocks more and more deeds, which you can use to earn additional TP later. The currently ongoing 50% sale on all quest packs in unprecedented: we haven't seen one before in 22 months of F2P and there is no telling where we might see one again next.
Long story short, If I were you, I'd grab every quest pack you don't have yet while you have TP and the sale lasts.
I have the most awful habit of agreeing with Malachi when they're right.
Although I would suggest that, instead of getting both Angmar and Forochel, you might want to tack Edenwaith onto your invoice instead. It's the post-Lothlorien area, and the spot that you will be looking towards to get ready for (They're taking the hobbits to) Isengard.
I lean more towards Angmar than Forochel, but you'll definitely want at least one of them, if not both.
Also agree that either Enedwaith or Mirkwood (your choice) is important - levelling isn't as fast in this game as most games but it's still pretty fast. Enedwaith gives more XP per quest, on the other hand after you're out of Moria the epic will take you to Mirkwood (do it, it will open a lot of skirmishes for you), and there are some wonderfully written quest lines there - my preference, though I've done both Mirkwood and Enedwaith - to me it's just easier to be able to grab a bunch of quests in the place where the epic takes me anyway.
I like Lothlorien a lot, and that can get you to 65 if you do repeatables, but it's not a strictly necessary area.
I'd go with either Mirkwood or Ened just for the sake of having that part of your levelling path covered - you don't need both, but you will need one of them.
