Thread: Need advice against BA for new freep

Hi, I recently started PVMP but always killed by a BA camping in Grothum. IS there any advice on countering BA attacks? Thanks.

Not sure there is much you can do as a low lvl freep, except gear up.... I myself am new to the pvp side of the game,,, and dying seems to be the only thing you can do until you get geared up , and ranked....

What class?

There once was a little uruk blackarrow who was trained in the eyes of mordirith himself that blackarrows name was grizlark. He grew to become a mighty uruk unrelentless in battle. As he got older he was sent to conquer the lands of the ettenmoors. The goblins of grothum took him in as one of their own and soon enough he became a tyrant of the lands. He soon went into exile never to return. Or so we thought. Rumors suggest that the mighty blackarrow tyrant still lurks in Grothum hunting the freeps that dare to venture into the camp. Be wary in your travels.

as a burg i find this fight to be pretty difficult right now - not sure what class you are. i'm not geared as well, a little better over the last week or so i've been back playing but a ways to go.

the slow and the wound is pretty difficult. also seems there is a stance now that allows a bit more of dps on the run (obviously i'm not terribly familiar with BA's. ) couple in the track so if i'm out of stealth it's pretty much a done deal if i get caught. (may be a done deal regardless but at i can put up a reasonable if i start in stealth)

seems that burg would probably be the most difficult class against a ba - maybe if you're not spear traited warden, but then again what could kill you 1v1? everything else should be able to sprint through the slow or range dps?

Didn't catch what class you play but there might be some ideas that help even if you don't play a hunter.

Any melee class will be a difficult matchup for a "skilled" BA. (Meaning they have most of their skills.)

Does MT work against tac attacks too or just physical?

For champs, try not fight in the open or the water. Second have sprint traited for 3 minute CD and have the LI for 45 second sprint. You're going to want to get in and do as much damage as you can, popping CD, seeking blade, etc. For most BAs, you can probably kill them, but for good BAs I generally can't before sprint runs out, though I can generally get them very low. If you haven't killed them, you're going to need to kite till sprint comes back up, because their slow is better than the champ's hamstring. Use w/e terrain is out there, especially trees.

When you are on them, make sure you're kiting and making them turn as much as possible since they have slower inductions if they try to use any bow skills. You can definitely interrupt some of them.
