Thread: Stuck at Examine Game Data

I am unable to install my game. The loading screen fails to move on to "Examine Game Data". If I close the client after this to re-try, the program fails to open, and if I want to try again I have to re-start my computer.

if youve just installed\reinstalled lotro try reinstalling it, it may also be worth trying a reinstall of lotro if nothing else appears to working even for an old install of lotro and from the sounds of the way things are something is worng with your install.
if youve already reinstalled lotro and your pc requries a restart before it will let you logon again , then either theres a problem with either your windows profile (logon) or your install of windows. your pc could even be infected with malware or a virus

also try disabling your antivirus scanning on demand or on access of each file it, add blockers, malware, spyware blockers or even proxy servers can prevent lotro from launching

wondering if there is a solution to this. I am having the exact same problem.

If you are getting this error: Reinstall
Watch 7 movies; study pharmacology; go for the longest walk ever or go on vacation.

By the time you come back you will be halfway done patching, but you will be better off than waiting for a quick fix.
