Thread: Summer Raid Team

Hi Withwindlers!

I opened this threat to keep better track of our newly formed Summer-Raid-Team.

Destino and Itwasjustadream formed this Team because many kins are lacking a full Raid Team over the summer.
Until now we successfully completed ToO Lightning and Acid wings together on t1. With a PUG, I think, those two wings already went pretty smooth. We didnt manage to down the F&F Giants but I think many people learned alot during that run and it was just due to the fact that we werent all on the same page concerning our tactics.

To get a better óvérview of those that already participated in those raids and those who would like to try in future raids, please drop a comment about yourself (well, your toon). Info should include your name, class, (preferred) roles and experience lvl.
Also include your alts that would be able to raid. Most of us have done most wings already but I wouldnt mind taking along some newbies once in a while to give kin-members or friends their first chance on end-game raiding.

Concerning gear I suggest to new people to obtain the 4 pieces of the Draigoch Raid set that you can barter for seals/meds at the Quartermaster in Galtrev without having to kill Draigoch. Also get the Stanguard Bauble set for jewelry and maybe some bling from t2 isen instances. Look for some more tactical mitigation because its important for the bosses. With that, i think, you are well equipped to venture into Orthanc or Draigochs Lair.

Secondary Role: Tank (I am just working on my Tank-Build and its quite decent already. I can main tank the Isen-3-mans on t2 and also foundry/roots on t2 with a good team. Apart from that a very good off-tank)

Raid experience:

Draigoch: Done on t2 about 5 times, usually in the dps-group and not involved in FM´s

ToO: Done all wings except the wizard himself once or twice on t1. No t2 experience

Gear: Full Draigoch Set, 4 pieces of the ToO-DPS-Set (just missing the 2 from saruman), currently investing in the Tank set
-No Yellow Cloak or Necklace
-No First Ager

Goals:

I would like to finish Saruman on t1 as soon as possible for the last 2 pieces of armour. Besides that, i could use some more training on the other wings before moving on to t2.
Also a weekly Draigoch Raid for seals/cloaks would be nice.

Time Online:

Weekdays from 18-midnight Central European time, plus weekends.

Next Raid - We let the Wizard live through another reset without handing us his goodie bag but we plan to clear all 5 wings next week, maybe on tier 2, except the White Geezer himself - stay tuned

Raid experience:

Draigoch: Done on t2 several times with Sciaborn but still miss the scales
ToO: Done all wings except the wizard himself on T1 only.

Goals:

I would like to finish Saruman on t1 as soon as possible for the last pieces of armour.
I want at all costs the cloak from the lizard... so will try to organize Draigoch runs.

Raid experience:
i have some experience from raiding. So far i completed Acid, shadow and Saruman on t1. I failed ligtning on t2 and that's the only time i was there. Still need to see and finsih F&F and draigoch. I've read a bit and watched videos on those 2 raids so i have a basic understanding how it looks like.

Goals:
Get Lightning, F&F (need the helm and the shoulders) on t1 and draig on t2 (eventually i hope i do). I'd liek to get that basic draig cloak.

My gear:
At the moment i'm runing on 4 draig armour and 2 Ox clan purple gear. I have GR and skirm raid jewellery. Cloak is also from skirm raids. I have 2nd age weapons.

My online time is as it is but normally i can be online from 4PM CET onwards. Atm, i got no work or school so i can adabt really easily.

Oh, and if you guys need it i can provide a TS3 server for easier communication if you haven't got it.

The BG we did ( with you and your kinnis) , was long time ago . We had random , new players who were first time there , i admit it, it wasnt good.

I did the whole BG in 6 hours I think some months ago. ? Want a screenshot ?

BG has a T2 mode , which is called there HM . You get the HM quest after entering the raid , there is no Tier 2 mode for the whole Instance , but there is a Tier 2 mode ( or HM= Hard Mode) for the 3 bosses in the raid . I can explain you this if you want ...

First congratz on trying to make pug's on Withy, not many doing it, at least with success.
Also kuddos for trying to invite anyone, also nice of you.


Second, you should still look for people via global as only few out of all 75s we have is/are actualy looking forums or will look in next few days, so replies may not be often in this thread.


Third - This one is for ex server mate Serbianchamp, who is not part of WW so should not mock/reply in here as we dont go to Laurelian to reply on his posts there.

- Serbian, if you are so cool that you mock (even if its funny to spend 7h in a raid) Dream and his 7h run or wipes in DN or BG

- Now i have done DN/BG all modes in before may 2011, to remind you, it was lvl65 age on CM and we did it with 12 lvl65s under Anya,Forquet and others who played then, and was not hard, so i should mock you now cuz' you needed to become lvl75 to do it, and u think u have right to mock someone who may have wipe on those raids even he is lvl75? Well those raids have own mechanism, and no matter lvl65 or 75 if u dont do it nicely, u can/could wipe, so not laughable at all.

- IF you think you can laugh, how come you never did it on lvl65 and how come non of you guys have been in any raid back before summer 2011.

EDIT : I did BG again 4 days ago with Lazy from CRK with totally random people , and we wiped at durchest no HM like 5 times ... btw all were 75 , just shows that even the 65s raids are tricky .

Meh mate you look kinda lost here No T2 mode, but there is T2 mode LOL. But nvm no need to explain i finished long long ago this on hard mode, or T2 mode like you said.

The BG we did sooooo long ago with The kid etc , where we gave up completely , cuz people didnt followed what id say , remember mate ? Who was off tanking , i think the champs name was Serbian champ .....

LOL mate that BG raid lasted 30 mins, and indeed I was there. But i was talking aboute BG raid after that, that you lead. Remember you was asking in global after every wipe players, and that lasted for 7 hours. That raid I was talking aboute. I didnt want to join because I was there with you before, and indeed you didnt want to listen like you said, and outcome was to expect, that why I didnt want to join mate.

Mate so what? any reason for me to laugh , cuz i had new players who never raided before? Yes we wiped i admit it , but finally we did the whole raid . I was with u in a complete fail OD which is sorry , a joke for me , wiping at T1 Ivar cuz tank couldnt kite sorry. ( I was lvl 69 ) Remember pls

Thanks for chipping in here, Z, and you are absolutely right.

I didnt open this thread primarily to recruit people but to organize the bunch we already have. Apart from the 5-10 core players, there where more than 30 characters of more than 20 people and 10 kins involved. It was always a PUG and always a different team finishing each wing, i think only me and dream finishing all 4 wings in the group. we recruited in global, kinships and friend lists and many new player won their armour this week.

And it was great fun. We might have wiped a little bit more than in a kin raid but thats the way you learn.

If Fralin´s Raid Progression thread is up to date, nobody on WW conquered Saruman T2 yet, so I challenge any kin to be faster than us and finish him before RoR comes out.

the t2 part is up to date afaik, some of the t1 might be missing. As for someone killing Saruman on t2 before RoR... it's highly unlikely i think. People are having vacations (we're having a break from raiding as well). To beat Saruman you'd need 12 people who are on top of their game, luckily we have this on Withy... Only probelm is that they play in different groups

Funny that you edited the "long before they beat a Wing on t2" in your post, after you got quoted on it.

Yes, it was "completed" during phase 3 by that kin before the fear exploit was fixed. It was also "completed" two times on Eldar (one of the kills with partially the same people that did the kill on withy, none mentioned and none forgotten). The people on Eldar at least were stripped of the deed as well as removed from the leaderboards of raid progression. Subsequently, most of those players have migrated, but that is another story.
And as Edin said, completion usually means a legit kill without an exploit where you avoid ½ the fight

So is the title still up for grabs on withy or not?

I edited it while he was quoting cause it sounded a bit insulting and more trolling then i wanted it to be,what a crime doesnt matter tho,i wasnt in that Kin at that time,just wanted to say that someone did kill it

On that Note,no Kin on withy cleared OD challenge mode full either till 10lvls later ^.^ its nothing new that we cant complete such raids on this server yet...

And yes the title is still available,they should make it so you only get it when you clear the raid before the lvl increase tho imo

As far as i know there is no unique title for completing Saruman T2CM only. You can obtain the Original challenger of Saruman title, when you complete whole ToO T2CM during one raid(night, without disbanding) and youre first on your server. After first server kill you will get the same title only without the "Original" in it...

About that exploit kill...Is it true or just edited picture? I dont really care about all the arguing on Withy, but i dont support an unfair gaming and this would really disappoint me

I am aware of the Eldar guys exploit where i believe three fromer Withy players took a part, but they werent very smart so they have showed off in a Official progression thread and as it happens, raiding community is highly sceptical about every kill

Its true for all I know. There was also an early first ager on the server after that.

But since the people in question kept quiet about the whole thing and did not advertise their "kill" (as some other groups on other servers did), noone else created much of a stink about it - because an exploited kill itself doesnt mean much. But when people start to lie to grab "renown", its getting unsportsmanlike.
