I don't know what level your scholar is, but you should be able to get heaps of T5 scholar materials by running CD/Uru and looting everything (lots of pots, too). For the Sindarin passages, I recommend the underground area in mid-southern LL (could be T2...I don't recall) and the southern Barrow Downs rep dungeons...there are almost always a bunch of scholar nodes in there, plus the mobs drop scholar items. I believe there are other posts on where to find T3 scholar nodes...Sindarin passages are (imo) the hardest normal crafting item to find in the whole game. It's really best to level through that tier with pots/dyes/hunter oils/anything else you can find that doesn't require them, at least if possible.

I had the forethought (masochism?) to have a ton of alts that collected scholar items for me from all their humanoid kills, so acquiring scholar xp wasn't as punitive for me as it is for most. Good luck!

Definetly a hard teir to find for Scholars. Best place I have discovered is the Dungeon SW of Ost Gurath in the Lone Lands with the Orcs and Brigands. Its a big square and the killing the guys give them too. I have very few of those and I have a lot of kinmates that send me stuff. Sorry but I think you will have to do some farming or pay an arm and leg on the AH.
