A couple of days ago I bought one month of subscription. Now I was wondering one ting:
How does the Rest Experience bonus work? I see my experience bar partly filled by the normal color and partly by the blue color of the bonus, but what exactly is the bonus? Do I get more experience when I kill a monster? When I kill one, the experience is raised with exactly the amount the general tab chat says. Nothing like "x" experience + "y" bonus experience or something like that. hence my confusion.....
Also, when I hover my mouse over the bar, it says bonus 8.538 (just pick any number). What does that mean exactly?
When you have rested XP, the game will double any EXP gains from mob kills (though it will not note that in the chat, it'll just double the number you see). This doubled exp will last until you use up the bonus xp listed. So if you have 5000 bonus xp, once you've gained 10000 xp from mob kills, you will have run out of bonus xp.
As a note, the highest your bonus xp will go is what it would take to make exactly one level from your current place. If you're exactly half-way through level 8, the rested xp will go no higher than what you'd need to get level 9. This xp does stack with destiny and store items though, so you may see a longer blue bar if you use either of those.
ViP rest XP (bonus XP) gains by about 20% per 24hours of logout time a full bar will give you enough rest XP for 1 whole level
rest XP doubles your XP for any monster kills. the figures you see in the chat window for how much XP youve gained should show the total of the XP you recieve including the rest XP
the figures you see on the rest XP bar shows how much rest XP you have remaining
You two forgot the best part. The rest xp builds when the "character" is offline not the account. So if you have three toons then when you are logged on as one the other two are earning rest xp. So if you have those three toons and play one per day when you log on you will have two days worth of rest xp.
