Thread: Changing out LI weapon at new lvl of DPS

I am new to LI and have a LOT to learn. I had a lvl 55 wepon with 93DPS or so, then at lvl 57 I have an available 103DPS. BUT my lvl55 is up to 20 on LI ranking. Do I switch it out?
Before LI I almost always went for higher DPS. But I am confused about the LI and the ranking system, maybe I should hold the lower lvl 55 and leapfrog to lvl 59 or higher.

When a level cap is raised (for example 65 to 75) most people swapped theirs out at 71. That was the point when DPS outweighed having legacies maxed out on a second age vs using a fresh third age. Obviously going from a not-maxed third age to a not-maxed third age will be less of a jump, but at lower levels it's not as important. I'd recommend switching them every 5 levels at most, but maybe not even then if you have a really good LI.

I can recommend changing your LI weapon every 5 levels or so. You can craft or buy cheap (check AH) 60lvl 2nd age LI, then 65lvl (you need symbol of celebrimbor for that, but you can barter for it at skirmish vendor). Unfortunately there are no 2nd age LI's for lvl 66-74. You should be fine with your 65lvl LI till 75 though or you can change it for 3rd ager at 70-71
I wouldn't bother changing LI's every 2-3 levels, it's too much work/relics/runes...

Ok, so when do I stop changing LI weapons and just focus on runes, gems etc? I guess Lvl 75?
