Thread: Returning player

I'm returning to LOTRO after dabling with SWTOR and am downloading the game client as my old LOTRO discs no longer work.My question is this.I have the Mines of Moria collectors edition are the discs with this still usable with the new game client? or will I have to download that as well? I also have the Siege of Mirkwood download saved on my pc is this still useable?

The game is gonna have to run an update anyway you install it; but disks remove the need for pando media booster, if you don't like that. I have no idea if the MOM disks will work, but the old mirkwood download probably won't, as I assume the client downloader has updated to a new one, so pando won't have a target anymore.

I reinstalled the game via my discs but apparently when i launched the game it tries to take you to the old euro servers which are now dead tech support says to download the new client which i'm doing now

This would indicate you were playing with an account from Codemasters. Did you migrate your account to Turbine last year? If not, your account is no longer accessible. You needed to migrate by sometime in November of 2011 in order to keep access to your characters and the expansions you bought.

I hope that's not the case and you did manage to migrate. If so, once you download and install the latest client, you can log in with your old username and password and you'll be all set. There is nothing on your old disks that you need in order to play.

Yes I've been playing with a Turbine account....I stopped playing to go and play SWTOR.Anyway I downloaded the client and I'm now back in game with the new content and everything else I had before I quit.....so all is good
