    Warm welcome

    Warm welcome,

    After a lot of nice time spending on Lotro I finally reached 75. Yes! Finally time for Ettenemoors.
    The first creep I get together with, dead in a sec. Not the creep but me. This went on for a while ”ah a creep me dead”. I thought Champions where the strong ones and creeps would flee me. Nope they do not.

    Next thought: stay in a group then you are save. Lets follow the experience ones and see how they handle cases -->[OOC] Peasentwithswords: 'simak can you please leave us?' Oops trouble with Creeps and Freeps this is going to be a hard time at Ettemoors.

    Nevertheless it still looks nice at the PVMP world and the creeps are great opponents. Any advice would be welcome.

    i'm sorry to say this but its not because you reached 75 that you are ready to run in moors. Well, at lvl 75 you are ready in theory, but moors is not theory and creeps are mean creatures and no matter your class or rank they will zerg you all day long, because thats what they like to do. So what i can say for you is that before you go back there, first gear yourself up a little with nice jewellery, LIs, good relics, virtues, work on your mastery, critical, finesse, tactical mitigation. After that if you go to moors you will still die a lot (sorry but true) because you will still need audacity gear, and only way to get that is spending time in moors farming commendations. BUt take one step at time and you soon will get all audacity and everything else you need. I hope you kill lots of creeps for us. And never forget, a good creep is a dead creep! Take care

    Dear second-sun,

    being the new one around, is nowwhere easy to start with. Then is Imladris in general not directly known for to be helful and friendly. Though it has it's decent community and players.... and once they get to know you, they eventually will let you in.
    Liz is one of those decent players, experienced, skilled and friendly. You might want to follow her advice, because what she writes is true indeed: You need to gear up- and even then - you stil'll die - ... a lot! We all do *laugh*
    Simply accept it, and continue to have fun ;-))) ... and now- get out there and help your fellows against the creeps :-)

    And to my dear, dear friend Liz- a big hug from Landy!
    ... and please greet Nya and Bobiras as well. I miss you guys ;-)

    /Ljus (ElenEstel)

    So far Ettemoors freeps is fun only especially when you can group up with other (starters). Dying is no problem at all. Back on the horse and run to the fire again, thinking how to play the game wisely comes later.

    Getting the right gear and virtues is going to take a while I noticed. When I inspect the other Champions I see some nice material and setups also in the forums and websites contain a lot of information.

    As far as I remember I also get a wise lessons from you Creep Kurru in 1v1 on Candy mountain. From dying in 2 secs to dying 5 secs. One have to see his progress in the right perspective.

    your view on DR is correct, though small, is a very dedicated tight knit group of pvp'rs, relentless though, i strongly and i am disgusted you even mentioned them at all, pve for them is all they are, but when it comes to pvp they are not even worth their salt.
    i would sell my soul to get in a tight knit pvp kin than a kin full of egomaniacs *cough* castle *cough*
    @kurru

    @Secondsun

    the more you experiment, the more you find out what works for you, and what doesn't

    for me, dps on my warden is what work for me out in the moors than shield warden ever did for me.

    Question

    First of all, that you just hit 75 doesen't mean you are ready for moors, specially with u6.
    Even though a fresh 75 can kill most of the lowbie creeps(depending on class and skill ofc), you will have trouble with experienced or mid-ranked ones. For your jewellery and LIs you will have to PvE, that's stupid, but lotro works like that. Then PvPing or PvEing in the moors, you can win commendations to buy PvP armour that has audacity, which is very important for PvMP.

    About community, not everyone is friendly with greenies in any side, personally(I play creepside mostly), unless it's a big RvR I'd rather solo than group with a stranger, ranked or not. I don't acept blind invites, I hate them, and I don't like getting tells of 'Come heal my raid'. That doesen't mean I'm an idiot about it, I always answer some questions in OOC or /tell unless they're very dumb and/or trolling.

    Yes DR is a strongly pvp focused kin. I left because I realised my view of PvP isn't the same (even though they play creep aswell) and I don't PvP that much on freep anyway.

    There's some PvPers in Relentless, in fact central before he went to DR was there.

    Lol castle, does he still have ego? I thought people destroyed it already.

    Like is said before, reaching lvl 75 does not mean you are automatically ready for Moors. Of course you need gear, but you also have to realize pvp'ing is in essence very different from pve'ing. The gear won't be a problem (though it takes time), but really understanding the fights and the tactics, and using the right skills at the right time will take longer.

    Concerning grouping: when there are bigger raids, almost all 75's are welcome. But most of the time it's smaller groups or solo's. Smaller groups mostly consist of players from the same kin or players that play together more often. But of course, nothing is stopping you from forming your own groups.

    On Relentless: they have some very good pvp'ers too. But that is kind of off-topic.
