Thread: Two quest packs that apparently are NOT 50 percent off

When you open the store from in-game, it says at the bottom left, "50% Off All Quest Packs And More!"

When you click on it, it brings you to the quest packs you don't own yet. There's only two I don't own yet, Mirkwood and Isengard. And they're not in there.

And when I click on Account -> Quests & Content -> Quest Packs, to see what *isn't* on sale, those two do show up there, at full price.

What's going on?

If you look at the full ad, http://www.lotro.com/lotrostoresale you'll see it doesn't include any expansion quests. Both of those are expansion quests which everyone has to buy, therefore there is very little reason to discount them. Additionally, Mirkwood had a permanent price drop recently.

I believe you, but then they shouldn't have put up a box saying ALL the quest packs are 50% off, with no disclaimers in or near that box.

I'm new to the game, and don't know or care about the difference between "expansion" quest packs and "non-expansion" quest packs, to me any content I don't have but can add-on after the fact is an "expansion."

So, assuming you're right in your explanation, then poor show, Turbine.

theres a reason why some stuff is called an "expansion" and some is a "quest pack". its not turbines fault u don't read all of the text.

I repeat, clicking on Account -> Quests & Content -> *Quest Packs* brings you to the section that shows those two items!

It is Turbine's fault, not mine, that they put Mirkwood and Isengard, two items that *package* quests together, in a section called *Quest Packs.*

It is reasonable for someone to assume then, that if an ad says they are ALL fifty percent off, that it would include these two as well. Simply based on what kind of content they are, and what they called the section those two are in.

"50% Off All Quest Packs And More." That's what the box says. That's ALL it says. It does *not* say that "expansion" quest packs are not included. I don't care they didn't use the work "pack" in their names, they are in the Quest Pack *section*, they *package* quests together, and it's reasonable to assume they would be included!

Period.

Its kinda clear - the advertising. They even listed the packs 1 by 1.
