Just finished reading Turtledove's How Few Remain, an alternate-history about a 2nd War Between the States, and one of Jeb Stuart's regiments patrolling the desert southwest is the "5th Camelry", riding camels instead of horses. They were pretty effective in the book, maybe that could be a mob-type when we face the southrons from Harad!

War goats would be the end of this game imo. Absolutely no need for them. If you don't like war horses/ponies have fun fighting war bands on foot
Please, not another "do it my way or not at all speeches". There are many people with many views on this and they should all be allowed to enjoy their game their own way with out cries like this. I am with the "want to ride wargoats" just for variety. Its like saying well this is rohan there shouldn't be wargs either, nothing but horses. but thats just crazy talk isnt it.

Personally I'm in the no War Goats camp but each to their own, if they want to look silly it's up to them

Well then, I want to ride a War Cat! I can't enjoy the game without one. I had one in WoW and it was in the lore there so I should have one here. Logic is irrelevant as this is a game and not a recreation of a world from some musty old books.

Unfortunately for you that *is* crazy talk. The game has no war-goats currently nor any necessity to invent them, nor any expectation that there should be some somewhere because left to themselves, Dwarves always fought on foot. And as we'll hardly be riding Wargs ourselves, they've got nothing to do with this - that was a red herring, particularly as the book actually mentions them in connection with Isengard so they're supposed to be there. Wanting war-goats in Rohan for the sake of mindless variety is a huge failure of imagination.
