With these 3 worked in a rotaion you can see how you can always have an enemy slowed with CoW, when the slow wears off, hit PC for a stun, if that doesn't connect hit IoE for the fear. By the time it is done CoW will be off CD and you can slow it again.

    Rinse, repeat...ad nauseum.
will have to give this a try when I log in again! thanks for the tip!

While I understand the intent of this topic, I have to point out that having to deal with an extra UI element and the time it takes set that UI element up (I.E putting together a fellowship) doesn't encourage teamwork any more than anything else.

Players can cooperate perfectly well, maybe even BETTER, without having to monitor additional vitals and or mess around with additional widgets. I personally look forward to it. LoTRO has already had "open-tapping" since 2007 in the Moors, anyway.

It also helps to have more than 600 will. For both hitting your enemies harder and to heal yourself better. This at 75 of course.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this months ago. You said you'd ask your husband for help. He may have forgotten though.

    Cheers

I just reminded him. He says, "At the moment I'm real short on expensive components. But I'll see what I can do."

Edit: I just took a look at myself in-game and my Character screen says my Will is 758. Perhaps the entry on the webpage is outdated again? I never look at it, but I understand that happens a lot. The extra points of Will appear to be due to the Fated Assault {Garments} of Theodred with which I am mostly equipped.

Second edit: And the Bowl of Skirlie that I ate before last logging out, and it's still running.

    What else adds Will?

From all your past posts I know you are a very casual player who does not like to group or do much group content. But if you are at lvl 75 you should have over 1000 will with just quest gear / jewelry from RoI. I mean I had capped will (650 at the time) before RoI and that was before they started throwing 60+ will on basic gear.

Curiously, the evolution of the internet seems inversely proportional to the evolution of man.

Well, I'm old and tired; after a few hours' playing I have to stop and rest -- and we spend weekdays babysitting a four-year-old, and can't play during that time (unless one of us goes upstairs with him, giving the other a few hours in-game). So yes, I guess "casual" covers it, darn it.

who does not like to group or do much group content.
My kinship is tiny and consists mostly of crafters. And I've had bad experiences with PUGs who assume that a level N LM or Minstrel is as tough as a level N something else, and then they are surprised when I get killed. I don't mind getting killed as such; I've done it thousands of times. But it means I have to re-buff and get back to where they are, and meanwhile I'm useless.

Well, it's been a long time since I've seen any quest gear that is as good as what whh's crafters can make for me. But I have been looking more at Armour values than anything else. Still, most of my current armour adds something to Will. I've now done most of the quests in Great River, except for Limlight Gorge, which I've only nibbled at the edges of.

And whh has twelve characters, and he's busy outfitting them all, so it will be a while before he can make anything for my two.

Any suggestions, anyone, more specific than just "Get more Will"?

The crafted Great River armour and jewellry aren't bad, but probably will be obsolete by the time you can do an entire set on account of the cooldowns.

If you have reputation with Dunland, Theodred's Riders, and/or Stangard, take a look at the reputation vendors - there is some nice gear and jewellry at all of them.

You do need lots of will as a mini, tactical mastery and crit, especially tactical mastery where you can pick it up. Don't ignore vitality and morale, either!

Since you mostly do landscape quests, you might also be well-served by using virtues with a lot of physical mitigation, like compassion and innocence.

I'm Kindred with all three, and I'll take a look. Thanks!

Okay. What about my other main, a LM?

While I don't mind good advice to inexperienced players, it seems this thread has gone way off-topic. There are class forums and such.

    --------------

Warbands are described to be "roving" the plains of Rohan, so I was wondering if they had a set level attached to them or would simply change it when they moved to another zone. East Rohan provides for 10 levels, so there should be lvl75-85 warbands in the correct areas (starting with the Wold just south of Part Celebrant). I don't know though at which level mounted combat really starts, maybe warbands don't appear until players reach the more open areas like the Norcrofts.

As for the epic quests (book 7 and following), they'll probably include mounted combat at some point, just like Volume II included the new system of Legendary Items and Volume II Book 9 inluded the new system of skirmishes. I'm not sure though if warbands will be part of the epic quests, since epic quests are always soloable (since they changed Vol. I and II.)
