    Character transfer delay

I am a VIP member and i read here
    http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...-Status-Sticky
that i could pay to transfer my character. i read here
    http://support.turbine.com/link/port...-Transfer-FAQs
about the details and i understand this is not a polished service like the kind found in SWTOR/WoW/Rift whatever.

But i followed the instructions and got an email confirming that my Ticket had been received. The email mentioned that there is a higher than normal volume of requests and that it may take 5-7 days to process my request. Its now more than 7 days . I know that i wont be charged until the service is complete but money is not my issue, i want them to charge me because i want the service to be done.

Can anyone with experience tell me if this long delay is normal or what i should do. I am tempted to "update my ticket" but i got a feeling editing it will just send it to the back of the line again.

could be just a matter of their estimate being lower then reality or maybe the 5-7 days is business days, where as your 7 days are just a straight 7 days ago. I wouldn't think they'd be processing transfers on the weekends/holidays but I could be wrong.

I just transfered my captain to a new server. I put the request in last Monday and it finally went through today. It says that it takes 5-7 business days. So you have to remember that in the US there was a holiday last Wednesday, which is not a business day, plus the weekend. So it took about 5 business days.

I just did a transfer & it took a total of 5 business days. If you count weekend & the 4th that would make it 9 days. I doubt they do transfers on weekends. When I got the email, it said the same thing as yours. Just be patient, they will get it done. There have been some in the past who had to wait like 2 weeks to get theres done.

I too have put in for a transfer and no, they do not do transfers on the weekend. 5 to 7 days excluding weekends and holidays is a general rule of thumb.

The number of days is working days. Seven days is easily 11 days. One full week, another weekend, two more days.

Turbine often has backlogs on character transfers. At one point, Turbine had to stop accepting requests because they had something like a 30 day back log. Turbine shut down requests for three weeks or so to work off some ot the requests.

I'm waiting here too. Its been 7 business days and still nothing so they must be going slow. I called like 2 days ago and the person I talked to they were currently on transfers submitted on the 3rd of July. Keep you fingers crossed and it will be here before you know it.
