Steed dyes would be a cool way to personalize your look a bit more. They wouldn't change the color of the horse itself, of course, but the color of the saddle or armor on it. Also you should be able to (Ctrl+Left Click) on steeds at a vendor to see not only what they look like, but how they look on your character, and with different dyes, just like clothing.
I'd like that. They could also do something like EQ@ - allow you to equip, basically, a 'cosmetic horse' from your collection, & have the fastest as a base.
(I'd also like to have stables for housing & plant horses!)
Part of RoR will consist of having one horse at level 75 that is your combat horse, no more swapping horses that is making my RK and Burg rather upset (60+ horses each)...
You will then have the ability to equip cosmetics on the horse to change it's appearance.
Do you have a source for that info Kril? I'd love to see it.
Stables would be a pretty awesome addition to housing. I really wish the housing system was better...hopefully it'll get improved.
I'm not for changing the actual horses' appearances, (as in their hair color and such) but I'm all for dyeing their saddles and covers. I love cosmetics, and seeing as you can do this sort of thing in real life, why not in Lotro?
Also, if you've already gotten 68% speed on one or two horses, PLEASE make all your previous horses that speed. I love the looks of most of my 62% speed horses, but I never use them because I always want that 68% speed. Horse speed should be a passive skill.

If you have purchased certain mounts via the LOTRO Store, you will receive a War-steed cosmetic variant that will allow you to further customize your War-steed. This includes the various class mounts and the Steed of Night.
