Thread: Returning Minstrel With No Armor

I returned to LotRO about three months ago and when my minstrel logged in, her medium armor was no longer wearable and placed in her backpack. From the dev diary I found, it stated any medium armor that the minstrel was wearing after Isengard went live would be converted to light armor. But unfortunately that didn't happen and she now stands naked.

I did submit a ticket at that time and received a response there was nothing they could do to help and maybe I should submit a bug report. So in the meantime I've just left her to sit and have been playing a different character. I guess I could just buy new gear in the auction house but this has really irked me. Is this really what returning minstrels are expected to do? I thought I'd check here to confirm I'm just out of luck and need to go shopping for new gear.

Something strange seems to have happened to you, as this was not what happened to everyone else. It may be that you have returned a long time after the change and some subsequent change has combined to cause this.

Yes, that is odd. When the removal of medium armour for minis was originally implemented, the stuff was left as now-unwearable medium armour, but NOT de-equipped, so you could hang onto it until you found appropriate light armour sidegrades. To be honest tho, I suspect you would be better writing it off as 'fortunes of war', rather than ragging on Turbine about it. You have alts, so they can begin the proccess of creating the new six million gold piece minstrel ( they CAN rebuild her! honest!) The next good place to look would be kinnies. If all else fails, it may well be an interesting challenge to attempt to self-bootstrap her.
