I have two accounts on the same server that share characters.

I followed an e-mail sent to me by Turbine. Now my Fabulism account appears twice on the Elendilmir server.

    The original reads: LOTRO Fabulism.
The second one reads: LOTRO Free to play account sign-in.

They both use the same e-mail address. They both have the same characters. The second one expires after ten days. So now I'm wondering whether after ten days my characters will suddenly disappear or if some other strangeness may occur.

First, I don't think you have to worry about any characters disappearing on you. Unless something has really chanced very recently, the worst that could happen would be that a VIP subscription runs out on one of them and you have to choose two character slots to lock. That would obviously only apply if you have a VIP subscription and it is going to expire in 10 days. The accounts themselves don't expire.

Second, a single Turbine account can have multiple LOTRO subscriptions on it. Is that what your situation here? (Meaning, when you log in on the launcher, it makes you then choose between the two you list above.) Or do the two accounts have separate usernames and passwords? Because as far as I know, it is impossible for a character to exist on more than one account or subscription at the same time.

Third, I can't guarantee that no strangeness will occur. Your best bet may be to call or email account support, explain the situation, and have them take a look. My guess is that you followed Turbine's instructions to create a second LOTRO subscription under your current Turbine account. People do that for various reasons, but if it was not your intent to have a second subscription, I can see where it would be confusing.

Good luck. I hope the tangle gets untangled soon.

Yes it makes me choose. As for the same character existing on two accounts, my game just updated and now the first account I listed has no characters at all (hopefully I was mistaken in them having the same characters due to freak-panic-attack). So it's legal for me to have multiple subscriptions on one Account and within the same Server? Cus I don't want to break any rules.

Yuppers, that's exactly what I did, followed Turbines e-mail instructions. I thought it was a validation but obviously it was for a second subscription. Thanks for the advise.

Perfectly legal, so long as you follow the ToS/CoC/etc rules on both subscriptions. One thing to note is that Turbine's forum rules state that you have to pick one of the subscriptions for posting and not post from the other. In your case, if you do keep both subscriptions, just be sure you post only under this one you are on now and all should be ok.

If you were buying something when you added the subscription (maybe an expansion or VIP time), my only concern is that whatever you purchased went to the new subscription rather than the one you untended to upgrade. If that is the case, Support should be able to help you. If it was not the case and you just ended up with a second subscription, it shouldn't hurt to leave it there. Just remember which to log on to when you play.

One other thing to keep in mind if you have two subscriptions on the same account, is that a lot of times people will refer to things as being shared by all characters on your account. That really means shared by all characters on the same subscription. TP is shared subscription-wide, not account-wide. Any so called "account-wide" features you buy from the Store (e.g. quest packs) are really only subscription-wide. If you get the Shared Storage feature, it will enable all characters on the same server and the same subscription to share items, etc.

Darn, that's gonna suck since I've been posting on this Forum Account "Fabulism" which was originally linked to my first account. Now however it's linked to my new account and not my original account. What's really strange is that the "Fabulism" Forum account I have lists the characters for my original account to which it is no longer actually linked.... AYA! So much strangeness.
