Hey, I was just wondering, seeing as I'm from New Zealand, is there a place where I can buy the mithril edition of Lotro? Is there a downloadable version, and do you need to actually use the disc or is it just a code?

All boxed versions versions of the game come with a code that you add to your account.

So, no you do not need to use the disk. You can buy the Mithril Edition from a web store and then apply the code without ever receiving the physical merchandise. Everything you need to play the game is in the download version of the game that your are playing right now.

The purpose of the code is to provide the game witha point of reference to know which special goodies you get access too and to unlock the various quest packs for you.
