Thread: 100% XP Tome not as Advertized - doesn't double Quest XP

Today's new store item described as:
"New items in the Store for UPDATE 7.2!

Experience:
New: 100% XP Boost – gives 100% XP on monster kills, quest completions, and Legendary Item experience!"

This item may have a problem. I purchased a stack of 5 of these items in the "new items" tab. In the store they were named "100% XP Boost" - and described as double XP for monster kills, quests and LI.

I received a stack of 5 "Tomes of Extraordinary Experience". The description says it gives +100%
XP for kills and LI, but does not mention quest completion at all.

I used one and it does give double kill XP, but as far as I can tell - it DOES NOT grant Double Quest XP.

I can't comment of LI XP (toon too low).


Please advise

I can verify that this tome does not add +100% to quest xp. My son and I turned in the exact same quest for exactly the same xp, while he had one of these tomes active and I did not.

Our characters are also too low to verify the LI xp.

This would be the first boost that would affect quest completion XP. I suspect that they either got the description wrong, or forgot to change the implementation.

I would suggest a) /bugging it, and b) PMing QuartermasterU to make the PTBs aware of the problem.

I have a stack of +20% monster and +20% quest xp for 3 hours... but I have not confirmed that they are working as intended for quest xp either. The 20% tomes have been out for at least a month, probably more.

It was bugged when found. Didn't think I'd need to PM the QM since the store feedback forum sends ppl here to report problems.... I figured that meant they monitor this forum... maybe not?

Per your suggestion, just sent QM a message to look here.

What is a PTB? I can't seem to noodle that. lol

Quest XP is not new. It has been out for about a year or more. I remember when they were available. Tomes were in the store and it was also possible to get a similar buff with destiny points. That was a long time ago, but quest XP is no longer available through DP at all now. Store or bust.

These 100% Tomes are just new. I got a stack after trying one earlier and they work fine now. This is something, I imagine, I will be buying tons of when RoR finally drops.

This item was not working properly, and was removed from the Store until the issues are resolved. This is an old thread, so I am going to close it.
