Came across this and thought it might be of interest to some of you. Its a timeline that tracks all the events in Middle Earth and syncs them up with their locations on a map. As we get deeper into the narrative of the War of the Ring -- one packed with events -- this is a useful tool for keeping straight when things happened and in what order.
One thing I found interesting: The Fellowship leaves Lorien on either February 15th or 16th, and Gandalf arrives at Lorien via Gwaihir on the 17th! Too bad the fellowship didn't just wait one more day!

I've taken a look and am impressed. It's a work in progress, taking input from anyone who cares to give it, and getting better almost daily. There's also an Android app available, available on Google Play for $1.50, and worth it.
You may find a timeline in Appendix B of The Lord of the Rings. According to it the Fellowship left Lórien on February 16, only one day before Gandalf arrives. You’ll also find that Strider and the hobbits left Bree on the morning of September 30. Gandalf arrives in Bree that night. So much for a wizard never being late!
