collected kingsfoil...strider does nothing about it...wth I do now?

yes, I've researched..."some"...to get myself further through this game.

I can't remember completely, but I thought there was also a quest about killing wolves. It was either the wolf one of the kingsfoil one that you also have to go up to the top of Bronwe's Folly? Wherever it was that the kingsfoil was around, go to the top of that thing and kill a guy up there. Alternatively, I seem to recall some quests don't get turned in to Strider, but other people nearby to Archet.

Arien is right, you have to collect kingsfoil and kill wolves (4) then climb up the top of Browne's folly where you have to click on a pole/totem which will "summon" a mob you'll have to defeat.
Then go to Archet speak to Strider.

When you get lost and fail to complete a quest, you can check http://lotro-wiki.com/ ; or more pointingly http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Archet or even ask online to other players through advice channel...

make certain the quest text sends you to strider, and if not then find the person it does send you to. in this case, i suspect that it might be cela... brandybuck - she's helping take care of strider's mate, and a number of the quests definitely go to her. the wolf quest may or may not be required to progress, but tbh there are so few quests in the starter area that you may as well do all of them. they're fairly well streamlined so that if you're doing every quest along the way, at the time it opens up, that every active quest should end up directing you to the same area for doing things or people near to each other for hand-ins.

imho, experience in other games isn't worth a lot - each game is different. hopped in and out of a few different mmos myself, and the only 'experience' i take with me is the style of character i enjoy, or can understand, best. beyond that, each one may as well be the first. less chance of getting bored, and easier to jump into the mechanics of the game in question.

if you get stuck on a quest check your quest log this will tell you in more details what you need to do if you forget what the quest giver told you.

also check in options UI(default ctrl+O) and makesure quest tracker is also enabled again this will give you an indication of what you need to do and if not too close where to go ie in this case collect X number of kings foil or kill x number of wolves

I've done archet more than my fair share. collect foil, kill 4 wolves, kill wolf master by clicking banner (immediately unclick-but very easy kill) then turn into calder cob and then strider. :]
