I can't enter the lottery.....again....(sob).... .
Haven't had this problem for a long time, but it coincided with the Independently independent Independence Day Lottery.
I might have won too many, which is what used to lock it up....can my lottery winnings list be cleared, or do I just have to sit in the corner with a kleenex box and make a spectacle of myself?
The same thing is happening to me and happened about the same time and I still can't enter the lotteries. I can't even get to my home page without the white screen of death error. I have been waiting for the data to age out but it's not happening very fast. I wish they would get this fixed, it just keeps happening. How long will it take before I can enter the lotteries again?
Edit: I still can't enter the lotteries because of the white screen of death and it's been since 7/26. Could someone at least reply to this thread to let me know how long it might be until I can enter them again? Or help me with this issue? Please?
I was just hoping someone from Turbine would respond to this thread so we would know what was going on. And if they are ever going to fix the bug that causes this. Please, a response would be so greatly appreciated!
Just bumping this again in the hopes that Turbine will respond to it. I got to my home page today but still cannot access the lotteries page without getting the white screen of death. Please Turbine, let us know what is going on with this.
Still not able to enter the lotteries because of the white screen of death, can't even get to my home page because of the white screen of death. Could someone PLEASE help me with this? It's been over a month since I've been able to enter the lotteries, I would truly appreciate someone from Turbine responding to this thread.
It is a server error so it is not browser specific. I have tried IE (cannot even get past the login page without getting the HTTP 500 Internal Server Error), Chrome (can get to the initial landing page but clicking home produces the same result) and Firefox (does the same things as IE). I really do not believe that the browser you use has anything to do with it. From what I have seen in other threads when this has occurred before, it is linked to data. Anyone who has won a lot of lotteries over a long period of time will have a lot of winning data entries in the database. Once this data reaches a certain size, the query to retrieve it takes too long to return a result and you get the HTTP 500 error.
Before, this has resolved itself within 3 to 4 weeks because the data has aged out (my guess is they only keep so much winning data info then it is deleted from the database according to some internal parameters). However, it appears that they are keeping more data now because this is taking longer then it ever has before to allow entry back into the lotteries.
Yeah, all browsers get an error page of some sort with this. And trying on another computer gets the same darn error screen as well.
It's sad. When this first happened to my main account, it was over four months before it was fixed. When it happened again, several months again. And currently it is almost 2 months with no lotteries for my main account.
I wish I would have known that there's a data limit, I sure would NOT have entered every &&&&&& lottery!!!
It would be real nice if Turbine would give any response to this! It's a total pain in the neck when you can't even access your homepage!
Well, October's almost over, and I am STILL UNABLE TO ENTER THE LOTTERY.......STILL GETTING WHITE SCREEN...

Yeah, I was really hoping that after the asst things they did when the lotteries were down, that they would FINALLY fix things. I still am getting the white screen of death. Over 3 months now of this brokenness and no interest on the part of Turbine to even acknowledge there is a problem.
