Thread: Best way to contact Guilds.

Interested in finding out more about a few Guilds but the PMs I've sent to the Guild contacts haven't been answered for a few days (or I can't find a Guild contact) so I'm thinking that's not the best way to go. I also don't won't to start Spamming online so is there another way to make contact without actually sending a request to join?

The Guilds I'm interested in are Aurora Australis, Oceanic Knights, Southern Defenders, Southern Star and T.H.O.R. due to their Oceanic player base. Also Sanctuary cus they sound pretty fun.

Mainly want to know if they're Serious (primarily focus on Raids, End Game etc) or more Casual (do other things apart from Maximizing Characters such as RPing, crafting etc). The number of players and what sort of levels and classes are represented. Also whether they use Ventrilio or some other communications?

If forum PM don't grant success on here since its the summer, and you don't want to IM in–game, the next best solution would be to go to their websites/forums. Search Google or use the Kinship Directory sticky to locate the corresponding URLs.

Visit the kin's boards, in most cases you will find a bit more information about the particular kins, recruitment policy, raiding habits, etc. In most cases you will be able to contact a kin officer or post an interest thread.

I was just browsing around and saw your post, so I guess that I can answer some of your Sanctuary questions.

First of all, you can send a tell in game to any officer/member. Just type Sanctuary (or thename of the kin you are interested in) in the box that shows the area you are currently inside in the Fellow pannel of the social window. Also, all of the stuff that Hallatur pointed out is great. However, many of the forum sections for Sanctuary are blocked to non members. This is why I encourage you to IM someone in game.

A lot of the section are not open to non members.
I am in game most nights send a tell in game to either Nimueway or Alchemydawn or pm here if you need more information.

I find the "Pie in the Face" method still quite effective, however, I am a Deviant and that "approach" may not be acceptable in a mainstream kin.
