Still shocked and don´t know what to say. I did not know Rudy in person, only from the time he spent in FoS.
My thoughts are with his family and friends, especially his parents as it must be the hardest thing ever to let your child go.
Wishing them all the strength it takes in the coming weeks & months
On behalf of The Defenders our condolences to his family and friends.
Only those who have known what it is loosing someone that made a difference in this world, know how we all feel when something as tragic as this hits us hard.
"Hope fades
into the world of night
through shadows falling
out of memory and time.
Don't say,
"We have come now to the end."
White shores are calling
you and I will meet again.
It's always shocking to read such threads, but personally for me this really made me shiver. You truly were a great player and person. Even though I will never see or speak with you anymore, your name will remain in my friendlist. I will miss you... RIP
On Monday the 9th , 8pm in the evening UK time , there will be a walk of remembrance in memory of Rudy. This will start in the Prancing Pony (Bree) and end in Grams (Ettenmoors). As a lot of people know, he very much enjoyed it in the Ettenmoors, hence our choice of walk. Anyone who wishes to be there, is welcome. If you would like to know anything more on the night, I am very sure you could speak to anyone on line in the Mellowship.
I knew Rudy through my kin. He was one of the most genuine people I have met in game or in real life. He hosted two kin gatherings at his house which allowed me to meet up with many in game friends. I still can't believe he is no longer with us. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Rudy.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Diek. But from reading this i see he was a very loved person and a great friend. One that will be missed greatly. My condolences to his family and friends.

Thank you all for coming to the Remembrance event for Diek tonight. Hundreds of people attended a fireworks display in Bree, then a ride to the Shire where we took the stable to the Ettenmoors. The creeps met us at GV and we all walked together to Grams for more fireworks. After a while, a mass charge into the one shotters saw many of the freeps actually make it to the gate of grams past the one shotters. The creeps then took their turn with an entertaining mass jump and bounce outside GV followed by a charge into the GV stairs.
Thanks again to everyone that attended and got into the spirit of the event. We are all very grateful to you.
ps. Any good screenies - feel free to post them on here. I have a couple I'll dig out later.
I was not lucky to have met Rudy, but after talking to friends in game, I am sad that we have all lost a wonderful person. I am sad too for not being able to at least attend the walk of rememberance, but I am touched by the support, respect and love showed towards him.
May you rest in peace, and you will be remembered.
Many ppl from Lotro and other online games attended the cremation ceremony for Rudy yesterday afternoon.
We handed over a copy of all the reactions and posts on several Lotro forums to his parents. They were very happy and moved by the post that were made.
We aim to do something with the pics of the march, so please if you have any, spam away. The pics will be appreciated.
Thank you all for the support given in this thread and ofc during yesterday's march. Very much appreciated.
Devastating news. He was such a nice person and an absolutely fantastic player. Had some great times and got a lot of good memories of him over years. He will be sorely missed.
It was a very nice event indeed and it was great seeing so many people taking part.
Thank you very much, Neen, for sharing the clip you made. Brought tears into my eyes!
