Happy fourth, with coffee, tea, and fireworks

    Morning Landrovalrim,

I am sitting here watching preparations for the parade and the fourth festivities on the street below. They put on a nice display here.

Let us all take a minute to reflect just what this day is all about. In 1776 a band of remarkable men pledged their Lives, Fortunes, and their Sacred Honor to pave the way to freedom for this country. They fought for liberty and freedom, and I think that they would be appalled at how easily we give our freedoms away these days. Its important that we remember just what the fighting was all about.

Good Day to us all, and a safe and happy fourth.

Good morning, Doc, thanks for opening, and Forsooth!

We have just returned from the local parade, hot and tired. My folks live about 3/4 of a mile from the parade route, so we parked there and hiked in past the traffic and roadblocks. It was a lot of fun. The little girls loved the horses best of course, and we got to see my brother and nephew marching with their Sea Scout Ship (like a boy scout troop, only they spend most of their time boating.)

Owed and I are celebrating our tenth anniversary today, as well. Hard to believe he has put up with me for so long.

    For everything It stands for,..

I am not sure the founders could of imagined the World becoming smaller instead of larger due to advancements.

Living and prospering Independently is one thing.
Living and prospering with the rest of the World is another matter.

Let our Colors lead by example.

    Happy Independence Day, America!
