[Summer Fun 2012] Withywindle Summer Tag Party july 13th 10.00AM servertime
Greetings from Withywindle, where the sun shines bellow the Old Willow.
We are happy to invite you to a grand celebration of fun and games hosted by the Legends of the Rohirrim Kinship and many others (for sure help and fun will come from all kinships and players) on 13th of July (no such thing as superstition in Middle earth).
The party will be held at the Bree Land Festival grounds and will start breweing around 10 AM servertime (That is around the afternoon for most european countries, which make the bulk of our players, while US players will enjoy a morning start being up just in time of the most important events).
As with all good parties we will have drinks and food, fireworks and games!
What games may you ask? Well it is not called a TAG party for nothing!

The festival grounds in northern Bree-land play host to the many seasonal festivals celebrated in Middle-earth. Well-traveled adventurers know the fun doesn’t stop in Bree-land when the vendors strike their tents after seasonal festivals. The ancient ruins to the southwest of the festival grounds play host to games year round!"
And for those who want more than just some tag we will also be hosting a Lore Quiz with amazing prizes. How willthe quiz work? There will be a limited number of spaces so calls will be made at the start of the party and the quiz will begin when the group is complete. There will be at least one jury member that will have a maximum of 23 contestants in his group as a raid. If there are more willing to participate then a second jury member will be designated and given the set of questions.
There will be questions from the Lord of the Rings movies and books (including The Hobbit to discern the ultimate Toklein Fan). There will be no questions from other Tolkein works. In order to win prepare to face harder and harder questions with lower and lower times to answer. Answers will be given in PM, even when no answer is know a blank PM will be sent.
The players with the first three cumulative correct answers will receive very special prizes.
And for those who like to explore the lands more than drinking, eating and running around in the tag arena we will have the Chicken Attack challenge. At the begining of the party some jury members will aid you in completing the quests that will allow you to impersonate a chicken and roam the world. After that you will be invited to go as far into Middle Earth as you can possibly go. At one point close to the end of the party all chickens will be asked to tell their position and jury members will come and inspect. The chicken that reached the furtherst point into Middle Earth will also receive a special prize.
So come and celebrate the summer with crazy games, lore quizzes, chicken exploration and whatever fun game you can imagine in the Bree Land Festival Ground on the Withywindle server on the 13th of July.

I wish to thank everybody that tried out the Tag games, even if they werent as fun as they are in real life :P. But short as it was the party was nice, a good ocasion to meet up and listen to music bands
As for the lore quiz it had to be canceled due to a personal issue. No Turbine given awards were involved so no big consequences. Be sure at some point very soon i will make an epic lore quiz, just not right now :P
Also for all the chickens that roamed the Middle earth, as i told them ingame, send me a mail i will send back a prize prefered. And congratulations to Bloinetta the chicken for almost reaching the gates of Moria :P. I died by the claws of a worm near the borders of Eregion. I will update this post with the names of all chickens that ran that day after i log in tomorrow.
As always this event was just a step forward to even more epic events in the future
