There's no need for new passive skills.

IMHO - Turbine does not care much for passive skills any more. We used to have more passive skills. Turbine took a bunch them out of the game reducing the combat power of our characters. The new direction is that we have to gain the combat increases via gear either increasing our stats or from the legacies on our legendary items.

About all we have left are the passive skills that enable the use of gear. Things like fire oil, burglar consumables, weapons and armor.

Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.

Yeah, since passive skills were removed, augmenting hit and crit chances is silly for might based classes.

Casters get their crit chance from their main attributes, so do burglars and hunters.

Champions and Guardians however have low crit chances, as long as they don't swap some of their might for agility, which on the other hand means they have lower damage.

the passive skills were much more convenient then the new system.
