Probably nobody submitted one.
It's not an easy thing to organize an event.
In Elendilmir there is also only one event listed and the details are not very clear.
There is another player trying to organize another event, but it is taking longer to organize and did not make the submission.
Check your server forum, there may be someone trying to organize something and getting no response... Without the support of a kinship it is not easy.
OTG Celebrated the Fourth on the Fifth -- with a good time had by all
Last evening (5 July) The Old Timer's Guild (OTG) held its "Fourth on the Fifth" Parade and Giveaway on Gladden.
One day a couple of weeks ago, this dandy'd up dude, Fiddlerod, unexpectedly strolled into our Kin House and announced -- "Listen up, boys and girls. It's time for a party. How about celebrating the Fourth on the Fifth with lots of fireworks, contests and prizes!" Nobody had met this guy before, but since the OTG is always up for a party (we're not THAT old), it sounded like a good idea to everyone, and so planning began -- "Fiddlerod's Fourth on the Fifth!!"
Our Kin house in Uxbridge, in the Bree Homesteads is easy to spot. It's the one with the HUGE statue of Draigoch on the front Lawn! The statue is bigger than the Kin house and dominates the entire end of Long Street. And soon chests were brimming with all kinds of fireworks, delectable edibles and assorted other goodies.
Around 6:30PM Server Time, about 75 of us gathered there to participate in some "pre-parade" games and other fun.
Then, walking from our Kin house around 10:30 we were fascinated to find our entrance at the south gate graced by two silvery Mearas rearing on their hind legs on either side of the gate in salute.
OTG arrived in Bree at the Fountain Square to be greeted by a band of minstrels and a huge crowd. Parading in a circle around the fountain, we promptly began a fireworks show that lasted much longer than those in San Diago CA the night before!
The crowd continued to grow -- to the point were soon we were sloughing people off into other layers. Then beginning at 11pm Server Time, Fiddlerod began the give-away... an assortment of OTG crafted goodies from food-stuffs to potions to weapons. There were so many people clamoring for attention, that one had to ignore peoples names to be able to see and move about. About 11:15 PM Fiddlerod announced that he had been gifted with some special gifts for the good people of Gladden (everybody but OTG'rs, that is), A Perlino Mount was the top prize. Three 50 TP keys, and four Spring-fest cloaks completed the prizes available.
All of the give-aways exhausted and fireworks shot, we mounted up and rode back to the kin house around 11:30PM.
A glorious, Fourth on the Fifth, was had by all.

Sooooooo... these player-run events sound great and all but what about the servers that had no submissions? Is there still going to be a summer festival any time soon? I hope so! I haven't been able to play much at all due to real life (pesky thing, lol) and would love to participate in events on Brandywine! =) Not to mention my kids are out of school, one graduated (lord help me) and two on summer break, and LOTRO is a place for me to escape since Calgon has never worked
EDIT: Ahh, nevermind! I found the information

Most of these events are open to all levels. If you see something interesting, simply level a character through the intro on that server and just show up. That's what I did forAndúnië's Gates of Summer concert yesterday. It doesn't take much time at all to go through that intro, and that character may come in handy in the future on event-heavy servers like Landroval, Laurelin and Crickhollow.
Crickhollow has only one event, and it is one I'm already helping out with (the Ered Luin Rally should be fantastic, everyone had a great time the last time we did a rally--and now we have 500 TP codes to give out as prizes!). So visiting other servers is my only chance to really enjoy the events. I recommend that those from Brandywine and every other server take a look at that calendar, find the events you would like to participate in, and get started on your character right away.
If anyone from the kinship The Protectors reads this... There were a couple of people showing up for the announced Poetry Slam on the Imladris server, hosted by Elonidir of the kin The Protectors at their kinhouse at 5 Water Bank Road, Eryn Vrithon, Falathorn Homestead. It was announced to start at 5pm server time, we hung all out there waiting patiently until 6:30pm but not a single person of the kin showed up. It seems that the host wasn't even online once during the past 5 days.
Unfortunately no, it was the last day of the Summer Fun events.
However, you should always check your server forums and keep an eye on the in-game events forums. Just because we're not promoting player-run events does not mean that they aren't happening!
Plus, you can always read our weekly Free Peoples's Press updates. Those also have both one time events and recurring events listed for all of our servers.

I know when we do our occasional server events in the kin, we try to throw an announcement up on the Gladden forums, even though they're usually very quiet.
We've gotten to meet some great new friends as a result.
