A suggestion made in comments at massively.com - and granted it may be too late at this point to include (keep it in mind, please) - is to have a stamina meter so as to not run at full speed all the time. It would make full speed more of a tactical choice, make play more dynamic, allow greater mob density, and overall make Rohan feel even bigger.
Just have to say - nothing at all from that video interests me gameplaywise.
As Sapience mentions - If you are going to be pounced by a warg pack please let it be a warg pack. Especially in a combat heavy area like Rohan.
None of this NPC nonsense.
If Osgiliath / Ithillien / Morannon / Mordor is not an open PVP zone - I shudder to think what this game is trying to achieve. You can certainly keep the Shire etc as non PVP zones, I can even understand Isengard being non PVP. But from here on peeps - it should be open hunting.

I do not play PvP nor have any interest in it. There is absolutely no reason to make RoR PvP. If you want PvP, go to the Ettenmoors where you belong. I want to fight when I want to fight, not when some other player decides he wants me to fight. With PvE I can usually maneuver around NPCs to collect materials or just do some sight-seeing. A PC will notice me from a much greater range and be able to wander just about anywhere. Therefore, instead of doing what I want to do, I will be forced to fight most of the time. If RoR included PvP, I definitely would NOT buy it.
I am kind of disappointed with the lack of information available this close to release as are a lot of other people in the thread. I want to believe this is worth the money, I really like the game and I'd like for a completely new way to play through it to work well. It's just kind of off putting that there is such a tiny amount of information about the entire expansion currently. I hope it'll be great and that mounted combat is a step in the right direction to changing the gameplay up a bit.
True, it COULD be a difference. But if you were a company that invited a test to your product, knowing that the test results would go public. Wouldn't you then provide that person with the latest product? So giving a tester a build that is still in alpha when it's 7 weeks until launch, it's not the best bussines practice, especially if you have a more recent build available. Now, there might have been updates to the build post testing, we just don't know. But even so the fact remains, it was tested on an alpha build 7 weeks prior to launch.
It is completely normal to be showing an out-dated build of a game/expansion, especially for a magazine/webzine/trade-show.

As a hunter class things like heart seeker can take a few seconds to induce(even with many induction reducing buffs from traits etc.). Since the video on mounted combat mentioned the speed at which things will happen will be elevated, will there be any sort of induction boost for hunters alone, all mounted skills, or none?
Also will you make the angle at which you are considered "Facing your target" wider for this play style. I have to spin my camera around enough as it is when I'm not moving to continue facing my target in combat so it seems likely mounted combat might make facing your target a challenge without a wider view angle.
I cant wait to prepurchase this awesome looking expansion!
