My hubby and I are looking to start fresh on a new server after coming back to the game after awhile of being away, and I am wondering what is the general atmosphere like on Eldar? Lots of pugs? Drama? Entertainment? Kids? Good raiding kins? Just a general feel of how the server is from those on it. Any feedback is most appreciated!
I would lie if I said it was the most crowded server these days, because its not. Depending on when you last visited us, you might find that it has changed.
Since the EU servers were merged over the sea into Turbines care we have unfortunately been placed further down the list on servers when you start the game, making it harder for new player to find us. However, it is still an active corner of Middle Earth with lots of active kins, both new and old. The population, in my eyes, is very distributed when it comes to age and general idea of how you play a game. There are social kins, raid kins, kins with music interest and kins that lives by the rule of diversity and kins that hunts for the best dress and the best place to put up a fire and dance. There are of course a lot of freelancers that prefers to shoulder the burden alone with the option to join/start pugs when needed. So, in my own little opinion we have what most of the servers have, maybe not in the same amount
If you have played on Eldar before, it is my honest suggestion that you revisit us again, creating characters is as always free on any server so you have a good chance to test others if we don't meet your needs or if your curiosity becomes to severe
Cheers!
oh, I almost forgot, Welcome back to Middle Earth! You will not regret your comeback!

Eldar is one of the nicest servers i know. Ive been playing on many jet, and never found a nicer atmosphere than on this one. Sure, we're small, but that makes us more chill in chat and in raids then on other servers where, what i think, the fun starts to shrink down and the "need to do's" start to grow higher as it should. I would lie, if i said, there arent any fights in global chat, but less then on other servers and some are even about funny topics but most of the time the "globallff" is nice and calm. We do have Raiding kins and smaller Fun-kins but wich to go to everyone chooses on his/her own, but we sure have mayn in different languages and cultures. Just check us out and decide if you wanna play with us I got there by accident, but found out i want to stay forever
However you may decide, welcome back ingame and have fun to play

Eldar is definitely a very good server.
There is everything you asked for - from very casual to some really good raider ins, there are pugs, there is some moors action, there are nice ppl and of course some to fill your ignore list...
Back in the day i chose Eldar by fluke, just picked one from the list. Kept on thinking what if i pressed the server above. I'm glad i didn't Eldar is great.
I used to have a couple of toons on Eldar and it was really nice. I rerolled onto a smaller server (Imladris) and regret it. The smallest server but the biggest amount of drama and whining - especially in the 'Moors. I'd say stick with Eldar.
i have played eldar, still go vist some ingame friends there at time's. I'm EST U.S. time zone. Being it's a euro. server was only draw back for me. I log in and 1-2 hr's later.. they're logging off for bed. But people an there lotro interst's prolly make it 1 of the better PvE sever's.
My play time lag was very little to none. Though at times i heard or on maybe some wkend's i hit the peek player time's lag was same as any other mid to high Pop. world. Well worth a check IMO.
Also the best kin i have ever ben a memeber of was on Eldar. Though they where a bunch of 4-5 yr vet's and atm on vacation from lotro.
I've played on only a few other servers (Meneldor and Imladris) and of all of them I find the people on Eldar to be a very good group over all. The people are helpfull and in most cases it's prety drama-free. Weather you're doing PvE or PvP you can usualy get some good and helpful players in with you. Over all awesome server.
i think Eldar it pretty cool i just wish when i get a fellowship if i need help they would speak English

I've always found Eldar to be a pretty friendly place. It doesn't feel too crowded these days but I've never had problems finding someone to help me out when needed. Been there six years and have no desire to switch servers.
