I have killed about 20 wolves and as many wargs in Eregion in different areas and I can not see that this deed has started or will start. I really need to achieve the Discipline virtue from this, but again, it doesn't seem to be working for me. Unless its hidden in a deed log somewhere....
2) Is your character high enough level to start the deed?
I don't have access to Eregion Quest pack, but I didn't think you needed it for virtue deeds. I am working on the carriban (sp) (bird) deed right now in Eregion and it is tracking just fine. And yes, I am level 52 so should be good there.

You need Quest Pack access to unlock deeds in all regions.
Note - There are some Eregion deeds that are part of a Hunter class objective which are not linked to the Eregion Quest Pack

Ah. Ok, thanks very much, that makes sense. I guess, I don't really know what the Hunter class objective is. I am a guardian. But I'll search that term and figure out what it means. Thanks very much! Glad I can stop wasting my time killing things that aren't counting. So can I expect the same situation in Moria virtue deeds? Some will work, some won't...

No. All the deeds are tied to the quest pack. I believe Eregion is the only region where a class specific objective requires deed completion.
IIRC - I believe Turbine changed one the requirements for one of the Moria class capstone Legendary tratis so that folks without the Moria Quest Pack could complete it. In the process changed this capstone from a group quest chain to a solo quest chain.
