Thread: MY first impressions

I actually liked the game, even though you could only get pets for a defense and a support (or healer, I can't remember which) class. My problem is that on my second day of playing it, at 9 a.m., first it just does this 20 try thing to log onto the server (and still failed), then another try later (one immediately after the other), it says the server's full. at 9 a.m. So I tried logging in to another server, and it didn't even have my character! I understand putting a server limit, and I kinda understand not saving the data to all servers. but why in the world would you do both together! It means that if the server is full no one who uses that server can play (unless they want to start a whole new character and rebuild from scratch)!

You actually had bad luck.

There is a known issue with the server you started on. It's being looked at. You should stop having the "server full" message when they are done.

As for not having your characters copied to all servers, that is actually good for you and for Turbine.
For you, because you have a limited number of characters per server and that way you can try more "combinations".
For turbine because they don't have to store your character's data in all their servers.

PS: You get pets with two support classes actually (Lore Master and Captain).
Pets are not a significant feature of this game. You do get pretty horses... :P
From level 20, you also get a skirmish soldier to use in skirmishes that you can (for skirmish points or TPs) also use on the fields to help you fight - will get pretty expensive, though.

I have 2 seperate accounts. Lifetime VIP and a F2P account.

On my F2P account I have yet to see the "Server Full" message. I have, however, been put in a queue to join the server.

The main thing to remember about characters, whether F2P or Premium or even VIP.
When you create a character it is NOT on all servers.
Each character is bound to the server it was created on.

You can transfer from one server to another, for a price.

If you wish to log into another server, then you have to create a character on that server

Pets, as you call them, are only available to Captain and Loremaster class.

Once you reach level 20, you get access to the Skirmish system.
This lets each player have a Companion for that skirmish.
Now Turbine have given the players the option (at a price) to have their skirmish soldier accompany them in the Real Game World. But not in main hubs/towns, only on landscape. And NOT in instances outside the skirmish system
