Is Forochel supposed to go dark when you get to a certain point in the chasm?

The reason i ask is that it does this when I get close to the tunnels with the first lot of Gaurdan in it and evermore past that point - it's like fog. Then when i go back to Kauppa Kohta it's still dark and foggy.. and when I transported to bree from there the other day it was even dark and foggy there. Is this a bug, because it happened several times.. I'm assuming the whole land is supposed to be bright, not dark or misty?

    It happened to me too.

Edit: But the fog cleared out later. I never had to restart.

It's a bug that's been there forever. If you log out and back in after going thru the tunnel, the fog should clear.

    Really?

I was adventuring in Forochel the other day and had that fog for my whole session. I thought it was so cool to have that foggy weather for my adventuring. It just seemed so appropriate. I have been adventuring in Forochel many times before and had never had this happen. I'm going to pretend that this was just a really foggy day.

This happens to me when I enter Edhelion in Ered Luin, I get the dark brown haze that stays around no matter what part of the world I travel to, I have to log off to get rid of it.

Some of you like it? :P madness!

Yeah, I have to log out to get rid of it. It's soooooooooooooo annoying. I want to be able to see when i'm questing!

So noone has any solutions I'm guessing. Just have to hope it goes away!

Yeah, I rather like this "feature" too. It's really feels refreshing going to familiar areas and seeing them totally in the new perspective.

The only solution is to log out and log back in. It will not go away on its own.

We all know it is supposed to go away on its own. When you have complicated distributed client server real time systems, some bugs are very difficult to catch and kill. Apparently the fog issue is one example of a talented bug that the developers have been unable to kill.

Yep. There's two places to gain this fog bug.
The tunnel, part of the way into Forochel, is the mostly known culprit. Fairly easy to avoid, by not travelling that way.
The one I encounter often (which can be entirely avoided as well) is the one that someone mentioned; the Edhellion area (there's an Inn League quest up the for Dorwinion Wine.) and it never fails to give me the dark fog bug. I have had times where I will not relog to fix it, and play the game that way.
I think it's a nifty unintended atmosphere tobble. Most times I'll do a relog when done with the Inn League quest though to fix it, as I'm in enough of a fog when playin' the game, I don't need the help.

The solution is easier as you think. When entering the tunnel, get off your mount as soon as you are approaching the foggy area. The fog seems to stay if you are riding, but not while you are walking.

Getting the Fog bug is great!

Try going to all different places in Middle Earth with it, it changes the game atmosphere totally!

Places like Barrow Downs & Angmar are really spooky.

Lmao, you lot are no help :P How am i to get a solution when you all take the side of the wretched fog? xD

    *shakes fist in air*

I'll try the things mentioned.. I'd like to be able to see Forochel for what it is, without the haze.

You also go up there for the Tomb of Skorgrim Quest in Book I/7 to get a part for the keys of Carn Dum.

And yes, I also like this feature/bug. It would be really annoying if you would encounter it more often or couldn't get rid of it. But you really should travel around with that effect, Bree, Rivendell etc. look really cool like that!

I'd like to be able to see Forochel though, of all places. It was one of the places i most wanted to see, and I adore Kauppa Kohti at night with the 'Aurora' over the lake. I'm not so much of an explorer as an avid fast-track quester, at the moment that's because I want to level up my guard as much as possible (At least til I can get to the areas where I can mine ore for westfold recipes and up my crafting level) and then I want to start working on my alt Rayne (LM), as i've found I much prefer the style of play to Guardian.

Basically what this boils down to is that I've no time for foggy bugs to interfere with my questing :P I want it fixed!
