Thread: Ring icons disappeared in mini-map

Has anyone else had this problem? UI settings don't show why.. even trivial quests are supposed to show up and they don't either.

I've started getting feather icons for the task boards too... far more minor and at least they show up but anyone know why this is too?

Have you checked the filter on the mini-map? Right-click it, go to the filter menu, and make sure all the quest indicators are checked.

When you greatly out-level a quest, it will no longer appear on the mini-map. You can change it in UI setting.

I've already set trivial quests set to show, thats what i meant in my first post. I'll try the filter, don't think i've done that yet! Thanks

I do not know if it is still a problem. The filters would sometimes get hosed. The only way I could fix them was to use the "Turn all Filters off" option. Use the "Turn all Filters on" option.

I used to have a lot of problems with the Dots for Fellowship and Raid members not showing up. Note: This is not the other problem - Some instances do not support member dots = Hopefully all these instances are fixed. There are so many group instances in Lotro. I do not have the interest to check them all. One nice about Lotro is the massive amount of content.

The last patch changed the icons for task boards from rings to feathers.

A lot of people complained about them having rings because they use the rings on the mini map to check if they have all the quests in an area and found it confusing/annoying to keep seeing the rings for the quest boards. This was especially true because the rings for quest boards would show up even if you were outside the narrow level range where you could use a particular board.

No, i completely agree with the feather thing, just wanted to know if it was a glitch along with the icons... the filtering worked, for some reaosn only quest icons were turned off =/ Very odd. Least it works now though! Thanks!
