New creep class in the distant future(theory) and what that might mean(theory too)
Ok. I was thinking maybe the reason we haven't gotten a new map or new characters is because the storyline hasn't progressed that far. So far, we kind of end at Isengard being built, heading into Rohan's defense. That means, we have goblins, just re-invented orcs, goblins and spiders have some kind of treaty in Mordor for the last eternity, and Wargs have started scouting out the area around Isengard (please excuse any mispellings). Sorry if any of this is wrong, haven't had a chance to check lore. So maybe we will get new classes later on. And a new map? I just know thats on a lot peoples wishlist and wanted to see if my theory as to why these haven't been filled out quite yet is correct. Please comment, and let me know if this seems relatively correct. If not, please explain.
The answer can be boiled down to one simple answer. The devs are clueless when it comes to PvMP.
They rest on their laurels from previous works. They rely on an IP to draw people without making anything innovative. They can't think of a proper way to implement a form of PvP so they parcel a piece of land and turn it into a sandbox. The people in charge of PvMP won't dare step foot on PvMP forums to even give a hint on any new map that was due since MoM. When I saw one of former executive producer Jeffrey Steefel's 2008 power point presentation on MoM and he skipped the "Expanded PvMP areas" (which was to my knowledge, the only thing he skipped during the entire presentation) that was a subtle hint that they don't have much planned (if at all).
I dare any devs to prove me wrong on this one. As a betting man, I doubt they'd answer. My money is on them deleting my post.

absolutly. the devs don't care. they have made this game almost as bad as the epic fails of mmos, way up there with WoW and Runescape. if it wasn't for the great Role-play and the fact i cant afford any better mmos.(plus most wont run on my old comp.) i would have left a long time ago. i am just waiting how much the devs and there lackies can take.
There's evidence everywhere in pvmp that the devs are either clueless or just don't give a &&&& about it in general. The imbalances between the freeps and creeps are kind of a demonstration of that, it's almost like they have only played one side and favor that side. We've been on one map for what 5 years now? It's not that they aren't far along enough in the story, it's that they just simply don't care at all, it's getting a little old to be honest, playing on just one map. And I'm sure that freeps get sick of this as well. Classes for creepside? Hah, a defiler in the past 5 years, Come on now, show creepside a little love, I mean, we don't even have a mailbox or something to trade with other characters on the same account without having to ask someone to xfer the items for them.

lol, devs making decisions based on lore XD. Look at the LM and RK... then tell me the devs care about lore and timeline...
I agree completely, read the Silmarillian Turbine, Nowhere are runekeepers in the lore and Loremasters are exclusive, you can't just become a lore master. :P

With lore having gone out the window when the runekeeper came along, and story not meaning much with armies of bad musicians running around the field of battle hollaring and playing their pighorns until I gnaw my own head off so I don't have to hear it anymore, I vote the creeps get a Giant Alien Zombie Shark class.

That I would like to see! That might be an awesome class! I hope that they would give us wargs, something like a goblin on our backs with controls for the goblin attacks lol.
All they need is 1 sentence that briefly describes a similar character or just the notion that such a person exists is enough to constitute 23131535 of them running around reeking havoc in middle earth. Surprised Boernings haven't gotten a go ahead as a new class for freeps, who wouldn't want to be able to turn into a bear.
but in respect to PvMP and new maps its just that Turbine doesn't care about it, they've said that this is just a side thing and isn't really meant to get serious development focus. There are plenty of areas that could qualify for new pvmp areas they just don't want to do it.
On topic, the best new creep class would be undead/unseen; largely a counterweight to lore master - plenty of fears, Debuffs and fear/immunity buffs. Skin potential is great from skinny skeleton, through shades right up to 4 ranks of coloured cargul- robe skins.

Skillwise I like that, but I'd rather see a Man/Woman (sorcerer type) than The Dead or Unseen. Maybe with a fell spirit pet though.
In the sea without lees standeth the Bird of Hermes. When all his feathers be from him gone, He standeth still here as a stone.
Here is now both white and red, And all so the stone to quicken the dead
The Bird of Hermes is my name, Eating my wings to make me tame.
Well, we could try and get some ideas together then. Maybe make a wishlist. It could help, so they know what we want. Right now, we're kind of saying "That way!" and giving no real indication. Just trying to make my forum thread more helpful.
