I wanted to know once for all if Deeds before Words affected Inspire with Song-Brother and if it only affected the morale from Blade-Brother. So i removed all class/legendary traits to avoid interferences and here are my stats with and without the trait:
Shield-Brother:
+138-197 morale without
+159-228 morale with (15.2-15.7%)
Song-Brother:
+90-128 power without
+104-148 power with (15.6%)
Blade-Brother:
+69-99 morale without
+80-114 morale with
+45-99 power without
+52-74 power with
I was wondering the same thing 2 months ago after a discussion with another captain during our raid.
I traited 5 blues + deeds before words, so the blue line bonusses wouldn't interfere when comparing.
Following from the talks about inspire last night, I had to check that out today.
Not traited:
128-182 morale every 3s (shield-brother)
83-119 power every 3s (song-brother)
Traited deeds before words (+25% healing):
147-210 morale (+15%)
96-137 power (+15%)
So even though it doesn't increase by the stated 25% (for shield nor song), the trait does have an effect on song brother's power return.
Our discussion about song-brother made me discover it, I submitted a bug about the percentage.
I haven't heard anything from turbine about the percentage yet.
Ah, I took all my gear and traits off and found a +24% (still had some outgoing healing due to base might).
So it is really based on the value running with 0 outgoing healing. I thought it would take your normal amount without the trait as base. This trait becomes less and less effective as you gear up better. Leaving ~15% as the real value added when geared up.
All of the captain +healing%'s are added together, then the final value is applied to the base value.
So final healing for Inspire = base * (outgoing healing% + Deeds Before Words % + Melee Skills Healing % + 4 Trait Bonus % + HoH Capstone %)
I know tactical healing rating factors in, but I'm not sure how.
Yep, I figured that out today, I always thought the +25% was compared to the value without the trait.
So I assume traiting this at level 75 in fact adds a constant value (25% of base) to the skill value without the trait rather than a percentage. However (Let's consider shield-brother) with my gear I gained 19-28 morale traiting this. Without any gear on, I only gained 13-18 morale traiting deeds before words.
I thought the base is constant at 75? Appearantly not since the values differ, is there a way to influence our base healing? I'm just curious where the difference originates from, because improving the base healing can certainly be interesting. Is influencing the base the magical thing that "+tactical healing raiting" on our emblem does?
Update:
Found an emblem with +22 tactical healing rating without any legacies that could interfere.
-With my gear on, except the emblem, I gained 13-18 morale traiting deeds before words. (as expected, the same value without any gear)
-With my gear on and equiping the +22 emblem, I gained 17-25 morale traiting deeds before words.
Thus the base value without the emblem is 52-72, with the +22 emblem 68-100.
That is an 16-28 (22 average) increase on the base value coming from the +22 tactical healing rating.
Improvements on the base value will have a much larger effect since they will get multiplied by all the +healing%'s as pointed out.
I think we now know how the tactical healing factors in, I've been wondering that for quite some time.
I would have to check with other skills/emblems to make sure the 22 isn't a coincidence, unfortunately I'm out of time.
