    Smile New and lovin' it!

First, I must say that I'm a newbie. And by newbie I mean that this is my first MMORPG. I've tried some MMORPGs before but none managed to keep me entertained for more than two days, except this one.

I love this game so far. It's really fun and it actually managed to keep me away from my books, which is pretty impressive)

Anyways, I'm really glad I gave it a try and even through I still don't quite understand some things, due to my lack of experience with MMORPGs, I'm gonna keep playing it.

Also, expect a lot of really stupid questions. Just a warning)

This was my first too, unless you count Runescape, and most people don't. :P

I found LOTRO to be a pretty good introduction to MMOs. Starts off easy on you so you can grab the basics.

As for asking stupid questions, I wouldn't worry about that. The /advice channel ingame is generally very helpful with any queries, in my experience most requests get at least an attempt to help.

Welcome, and just saying, your English is fine. Oddly, people who put that disclaimer seem to almost always have well written posts.

I agree, the basics were really easy to grab, especially when they made the introduction interesting.

Thanks for the tip! There are some things I'll definitely will need clarification on and it's good to know I won't be left in dark.

Thanks! ) Pretty odd, indeed. Still, you can't never be sure

Thanks for the warm welcome I'm really looking forward to having a good time in this community

Lol, I played RuneScape for five years. But, now, the game is a &&&&, so I stopped.

Welcome to the game!! I well remember my uncertainty and confusion in my first MMO. With that in mind, a few suggestions:

MMO-unique terms and acronyms were one of the very hard things to figure out. So, go to this thread if you also are a bit lost: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...MO-terminology

This website is one of the best for new players: http://lotro.mmorsel.com/

    And this one: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Main_Page

And, imo (in my opinion) this one has the best, most useful maps if the ingame maps/radar aren't enough: http://dynmap.ruslotro.com/

And, consider joining a kinship that is active and will support a player new to LOTRO and MMOs. Server forums here have a kinship section so you can look around.

Good hunting! And, feel free to ask away, LOTRO forums are pretty nice overall.

Wow, Thanks for all the links They are very helpful!

LOTRO forums are indeed nice, I just hope to find a kinship that might tolerate someone as inexperienced as me)

Thanks a lot again! I really appreciate the help

Welcome to LOTRO, a.FLO. This is a really fun game and you will get the hang of it as you continue to play. Best way to enjoy the game is DON'T RUSH through it. Take your time to really experience it all.

    Good hunting. }

Just letting you know, since its most likely you dont (and maybe would like to know) that Turbine has now (since last year) an actual Official Roleplay Server with and extra set of rules and you can read about them atTurbine's Official Roleplaying Rules and Policy Thread

Its a wonderful server and very friendly, not to mention that i havent seen, so far, not even once, people disturbing RP, or non-rpers not respecting roleplayers

    Cheers
