I'm a level 56 LM. I wanted to buy some armor on Tinnudir and tried out the currency exchanger. I lost all my marks. My currency appears to have been gutted. I think it's 50 marks per medallion, but a medallion only equals 5 marks. A glitch? Any way I can get my marks back?
That seems to be the way most of the barter currency exchanges work. Going low to high takes more than you get going from high to low. So this is probably working as intended unless someone says it was different for them.

So 4 quarters equals a dollar, but a dollar equals a nickel? Brilliant! I can't buy the armor I wanted.
I did some exchanges early on and all it seemed to do was take my marks, no more for me. I guess I don't understand the system, so I stay away from them like a leper.

If you start with 100 dollars, convert them to euros at a currency exchanger, then convert them back to dollars, you will not end up with 100 dollars. They will skim some off at each step. Same here.
