Thread: Character Selection Screen Sort Options

Think the title speaks for itself, I just think that it would be nice if you were given an option on the character selection screen that would allow you to sort all available characters according to something other than the current alphabetical system. Examples could be by level or class or most recent played, even a possible user defined order. Just a thought mind.

They're already a to z.

As for the idea of the thread...YES.

More than a sort (in which case Turbine would pick some criterion or other to determine the order), I'd like to see a way to order the characters in whatever way *I* want. This would basically require a means for a player to assign a sequence number to each character and then sorting on that sequence number. Unfortunately, I don't see Turbine allocating the resources to do that.

I'd love this. I've always wished I could sort my characters differently.

Other, older games allow you to do this. There's no reason not to have that functionality here too.

Very nice idea, indeed! Especially the "recently played" concept.

It would be helpful, as I tend to play one for a period of time, then switch.

Seems that's the simplest solution, even if its not the most thorough, which means it is the most likely to actually be implemented.

I currently have six characters per server, so I always have the one hanging over onto the second page. It would be so much nicer if I could sort by level, or last played, or anything else really.

Yup. /Signed a zillion times. I hate them being alphabetical. I have three servers with 11 characters on each and that last one on the third page is very often one of the more played characters. And my mains are NEVER at the top. There are so many different reasons for being able to organize them as we see fit instead of being stuck with the A to Z order.
