    Level 75 - Permadeath

Has anybody else managed to level a toon all the way through to level 75 without a single defeat or death?

I managed to do it myself on a Warden, it was quite a challenge and had a few really close calls but managed to make it through. Looking forward to extending this run through to 85 when the new expansion is released.

Wondering if anybody else has done this and on what class.

made it to lvl 58 on my LM without really trying. I would think it'd be really easy if you wanted to do it, especially on warden. I find it hard not to challenge myself with huge pulls on the warden though.

Presumably not counting the forced defeat in the Epic quest in Book 1?

Or they didn't do that part of the book 1 epic.

Still, I'd be interesting to see some metrics for this sort of thing if turbine keeps it..
I dont want to see a title or anything of the sort though

It can be done rather easily (avoiding Vol I Book 9). You just have to be careful. I got to 45 once by just being careful (and being a burglar!) and died due to lag while fighting. After that I took way more chances and even jumped to my death (EQ ranger transport ftw!).

    Keys are:

    1. No PUGs
    2. If you fellow with friends, make sure they know you could be bailing sooner than later.
    3. No PUGs!
    4. Do as many quests as you can that do not involve peril.
    5. No PUGs!

I would tend to run solo and get help from kin for any really sticky quests. For technical reasons, do not do Volume I Book 9.

I attempt this with every character, but rarely get too far without some mishap. The best I've done so far is get my burglar to 61, within a bar of 62, but he died when he wet his toes in the Anduin in North Lorien. Made me so mad! I knew you couldn't swim across, but who knew the shallows were instant death? He may make it to 75 without a combat defeat, and that's still my goal, but there will always be an asterisk by that achievement.

So far, the only remaining character of any significant level that I have still undefeated is my Guardian at 52, so maybe he can make it to 75 undefeated. I'm certainly going to attempt it.

Hell, I didn't even make it to level 5 without dying on my hunter. AFK in Brigand Camp FTW!

I try to play all my characters in permadeath mode, so far my best is only level 28, but I have had 4 deaths from lag and 1 from a power cut while in combat (with a single mob 10 levels below mine, I was so peeved!). Can anyone tell me if there is a screen that shows whether a character is still undefeated? If so how do I access it?

No that death would count. That part of the game can not be completed in permadeath mode as you will be forced back to the rez circle and the defeat message will show.

Yeah, towards the end of the levelling power cut and lag issues were my greatest fear. I'd stop playing if it was raining. That's not a good way to go out.

I did disconnect once but thankfully it was not during combat and I was not killed.
