Thread: [Spiders] How is your Virulent Poison?

The effect upon removal that should do ~1k damage. How does it work for your fellow weavers? Mine gets resited 80% of the time.

I dont know if it gets resisted upon removal but in reality it really only does ~500 damage or so, maybe a little more...due to mits.

This sounds right, haven't played my spider much since i hit r10, but 400-700 depending on their gear.

Yeah noticed upon searching in my log. If I'm lucky and don't get resist it's about 400-500hit. Bummer, this shouldn't be mitigated. It should be penalty if you can't read debuff description. 500dmg is hardly a penalty.

Mine seems to work haven't bothered to check the logs after someone removes it.

True, but it's the 2nd highest damage output we can use.

That said, drink deep didn't hit that hard againt 7 audacity + mits from what I remember.

with freep tac mits as high as they are + aud if i hit for even 400 with it i'm happy since even the light armor classes like rk can mit 60+% of our damage when u factor in audacity. i think my favorite so far was a meph kiss dev crit on a cpt that hit for 153 while i had a full damage build (4 mastery with damage for power/health 2) and thats about 80% of the base tooltip so probably 90% of the damage was mitigated.

Raelith scored a hit with Virulent Poison on Brandonthorn for 458 Acid damage to Morale.
It is not the initial, that is the damage received from the removal of Virulent Poison (just clarifying for anyone).

I mean like many of our skills, 50%+ of the TT is mitigated and it is resisted at least 30% of the time. Between b/p/e, resistance, and mitigation I feel all my dot skills to be weak as applying them successfully seems to be almost impossible especially as Virulent is unspammable compared to TK and PA.
