When I'm on my burglar, I PvP to get the Rank 9 horse, which I've always wanted. I've taken much time off from the moors, and refuse to farm it like some people. Now that I'm back in earnest, and around 20k from rank, it's in sight. It's fun to 1v1, to see what my hard-earned gear-grinding can do against mommy's credit card. I pride myself at being one of the best burglars around, and when I lose the fight, I explore new strats to see what I could do better to win it. Sometimes I'm not happy to lose, but that's everyone I suppose. Tough fights are against the "kiters" - BAs and Spiders. When there's zerg v zerg action out, and nary a creep to be found questing solo, if I can make my way through the spam-tracking lines, it's equally fun to gank a creep in the middle of the raid before they can react, throw a bubble, and heal it - and then disappear from sight.
When I'm on my defiler, I like to run solo most of the time. I'm not exactly keen on people who run around with pocket healers, though I can see how it's beneficial for earning infamy. I also like to 1v1 on my defiler, though frankly, they are so OP against most freep classes, it's hard to get a good fight going. And the fights take forever! >< I like PVP on the defiler because I can save a creep from getting zerged with my fancy store-bought blessing of darkness skill, or HOT myself up, brand, and cause some ruckus in and around the freep raid. It's fun to be jumping around and thwacking things, just like a space monkey would do. Just running at most freeps, getting up in their faces, even if it's just me and my pet flies, causes them to back up a space. Or at least it gives them pause before they blow me out of the water.
When I'm on my war-leader, I like to observe the fight. I'll stand to the side, perhaps tell a story through emotes, or jump up and down through the creep/freep lines, occasionally healing someone or throwing a bubble to a deserving greenie. To counteract the many starhuggers on creepside, I have devoted my WL to getting his rank through PVE and to not kill/harm a single freep. As of now, he has a 396 rating, 0 kills, and is halfway through rank 5. It's fun to see a group of freeps who don't know any better zerg me while I spam heal myself. They eventually win out, only to receive a handful of renown each for their efforts. It's my way of stating that zerging isn't always rewarding.
When i start play its a lot of fun for me! But after 6month active playing and hit r11 its kinda bored, cuz always same situation, nothing new, no raid vs raid like on some other server's. And problem about my playtime, nothing interesting when i can playing now.
Think ppls play pvp cuz its fun, and dont need see on what ppls say about Zerg/OP and other's, but this ppls still playing and dont planning leave moors.
First of all, I just plain enjoy fighting creeps. It's fun and challenging (when it's not mindlessly pointless and frustrating).
I also find that PvP makes me better at PvE (or at least I think so).
I enjoy having a rank on a guardian that most people haven't spent the time to get, makes the noobies respect me, for some ridiculous reason.
It's really quite a good proving ground for your solo abilities as well as your willingness and effectiveness at leading other players toward a definite goal (toppling the Blade as often as possible, for example).
What I don't play for is to belittle other people in order to make myself seem like a cooler guy or a more experienced player, I don't like to do that, and look down on those who do.
Cheers.

I was just wondering if you've ever played Runescape during the *cruddy* old days when noobs opinions (literally EVERYONE under lvl 100) was calling each other noobs, and having stubborn noob-calling fights. Got so boring I stopped caring about opinions on these games [-;
Anyways, I was just thinking of that lol, for some reason

Because ultimately watching a free person on this server play is like watching a leaky tub of kittens trying to survive a monsoon, and if it's not entertaining enough you can always tip the tub so the kittens don't make it.
I'm on a quest to find a good warg. Its similar to watching the American Idol auditions. Only difference is nobody has got a gold ticket yet.
And where exactly in the giant tactical zergball you roll around with do you expect to find this good warg? Hiding behind the 3rd row of minis with a fake nose and glasses disguise?
When I'm out PvPing I'm usually just blowing off steam or trying to find a way to kill time before a raid and, of course, I have that tiny goal of hitting rank 12 xD might take awhile... I'm not only PvPing for myself though. When I'm not soloing, which I do a lot now, I'm with my kin mates just having fun. Fun and being with friends killing things is what its all its about!
Actually taking a break, for the most part, until Rohan comes out. Might be off and on though

Tell how that works out for you Chief...
There is actually a warg or 2 on E that can occasionally beat me 1v1 occasionally. Guess I had to pay 25 scrillas to complete that quest you are embarked on.

Miss ya bro.
No offense, but maybe its not the player, its the class you play. How do you stack up against wargs on your Cappy or Champ? IMO, those classes stack up fairly well against Flayer wrags at the moment, especially Champs.

No problem man, and I wasn't tryin to be offensive to anyone here but there are quite a few good players over here, if anything due to raw probability in numbers alone.
You are correct in that Flayer wargs would own my champ and captain; I wouldn't have a chance.
But I have a couple FAs ready for my capt on transfer and will give it a shot ^.^

It does matter what class it is, but the player adds the biggest factor really. People can be on any class and still be terrible. That and how is the person's creep/freep traited adds a big difference too, on the champ good flayer wargs can chew me up while in fervor, in glory its another long story of no DPS OP'ness tho xD.

i pvp for the same reason im still on this server and its the people, dont really ever see myself starting over any where else for the time i play this game.
the wargs that always win either are either p2w or wait for cds, and because of that we QQ about them. The wargs that are really good are the ones that push the limits even if they die doing it, and off the top of my head i can think of a bunch that fit into the prior opposed to the next to none that fit in the latter.

The reason this is so laughable (and the same reason I took issue with Izo's post earlier) is you really don't have to single out Warg Kingdom to look for incompetence. Next time you're raided up, just look over your left shoulder, then your right to find some pretty bad players. I generally don't care when people say I suck or whatever, but I do absolutely hate hipocrits and double standards.
So next time you're thinking that warg you're fighting sucks, or is store bought, or is a coward, or whatever, do me a favour and notice who you're talking to on freepside and if they laugh along with you, try to sense if there's a little irony involved.

I would disagree, it does matter what class it is, just look at how many minis there are now that no one ever heard of before RoI or look at the ones that were out that run solo now that you would never find unraided. But the person behind the keyboard matters a lot too. I would say the player means more on some classes than others.
And Ace, meant no disrespect, I know you're good at your classes, I'd 1v1 your Champ or Cappy, but I'll pass on the RK XD

Another little interjection here: many people on this server have long confused "good" with "only comes out after endlessly running instances for the best possible gear". The two aren't the same at all. In fact, I've always found it amusing when you don't see someone for 2 months after an update or expansion, then they come out guns ablazing with their first agers and what not.
I generally don't say a poorly geared player "sucks". They are certainly easier to kill, but I actually respect that they're just out there to fight/have fun and their massive ego doesn't require them to come out in godmode. And it's not exactly hard to know who has uber gear when you get hit with a 7k crit or something. Oooo, you're so much more skilled than me, you won the fight with one button press! I will hold my head in shame now.

Skill != great gear.
Man, I am not looking forward for the grind on my BA with RoR. I think I may have to log out and wait on some downtime. Not looking good!
" Tis not a lip, or eye, we beauty call,But the joint force and full result of all. "
Care to argue the point? I didn't think so. Good luck with your 'skill' out there.
You're not the first person to answer your own question. That stuff happens all the time. No worries here.
But if you'd like, I'll entertain your question answer.
So to the point....where I QQ'd. I said something about on a quest looking for a good warg. You said something or other about rolling in tactical zergs, waiting 2 months for op gear, that you generally don't say poorly geared players suck, and that you absolutely hate hypocrites and doubled standards.
Lets break it down:
I QQ'd.
I have rolled in tactical zergs.
I'm a hypocrite, and I have double standards.
Now for you:
Milt has QQ'd
Milt has rolled in tactical zergs.
Milt is a hypocrite, and has double standards.
As far as gear goes, you have coms, barter it and we have the same gear. I also have no issues with "poorly geared players". I'm in a kin with a lot of different types of players, you wouldn't know what I do to help other people out.
Maybe you should group up more and stop being so bitter. Never had a prob with you, and I personally always enjoyed your commentary. I've done my best when I can to throw heals your way if i'm on my cappy or minstrel.
I QQ'd, and that's it. Like I said, we've all done it.
Going on Milt's side a bit more than Izo's, it's hard to call people "good" when they've over grinded you and have the advantage of time.
I don't, so r6 1aud BA is my main... but ive dipped my hands in more games than I could care Anyways, multiple topics are going on between you guys, ill leave yall at em, I really wanted to go back to that bit =P
EDIT: Oh Milt, that

Following Milts example, I'll interject also. I agree, those that grind harder than others doesn't neccessarily make them better players. Likewise, those that open their wallets and pay to win doesn't make them a better players either.

Sadly even more rare than the Greater Sigil of Battle are the elusive Golden Tickets!
meh...I will still take the Greater Sigil
How could you possibly pass up a golden ticket! You crazy
In all seriousness though, I would just like to say that my original statement wasn't exactly why I play in the moors. To be fair, the best thing I can offer is an equally honest and more serious explanation. At times, it can be hard to grasp the entire effect of an opinion. In order to further accommodate this, I'll be adding more visual displays that work in relationship with my commentary.

Now THAT'S love! See how popular you are?! They just wanna find you to give you wargykisses n stuff
(oh and as for the Golden Ticket, its not the winnings that bother me, its the luxury taxes on that damn factory O.o)

Falloren's Command Post Banner with Warg pack is icing on the caek!
BTW Chief, Picture paints 1000 words (most of the words are tracking messages). Thank you for your detailed specification.

Personally i PvP to test myself. Adjusting to unexpected situations, thinking on my feet, and hopefully making an impact in a fight(solo or in a grp) is what i aim for. In my opinion pvp is the best way to learn your class. Im all about stats, rank doesnt really interest me since it doesnt really matter in the long run unless you are wanting to get an armor peice or something. I have made alot of friends and had many rivalries during my time on this server and i hope to continue doing that intill my time is up.
In Conclusion:
^^^This is why i PvP
