omg omg omg, i've only got three qp's left to get and these are two of them.
How hard would it be, to save up the 700tp over the weekend using my main and my 2 alts?
My main is lvl 54 and i think i've pretty much ground out most of the deeds i've came across but my alts are a lvl 17 and a 10 i think and i've hardly done any deeds at all with them.

Should be pretty managable, especially if you haven't maxed out REP with a lot of the early factions. You can get 50TP (5/10/15/20) by achieving Kindred status for each faction, so hop on the AH and buy up some rep items.
Wow. I knew that Great River was going to go on sale for half off. I wasn't expecting Forochel to join it in the bin!
And I just checked my current banked TP total. I only need another 161 points until I have enough. And, oddly enough, when my current farming toon finishes its cycle, I'll be banking another 170 points.
This is great, I've always wanted Forochel, but since it's not essential, I went for other quest packs first. Now I can finally have all the quest packs available, just in time to get there with my hunter
wow ... we have to wait until next February and March respectively?
(yes .. yes .. I know ... but your date system is still stupid!)
What can I say? We drive on the right side of the road, our football has heavily armored men pushing each other around, we drink sweet tea, and we use the Fahrenheit system.
And what is this with our infantile preoccupation with bosoms!!!!!!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
Civ II rules after all these years......

Great movie, Nymphonic!!!!! Love the whole crazy thing!
Haven't looked at the sale, but I already have Forochel but don't have Great River. My main is 54. But I may have to get it anyway.
I am going to be not on my home computer on 7/2, so no access to the client and probably the ingame store. Can I get the Forochel quest pack somehow by just logging into my Turbine account?

If you will have access to a computer on July 2 and have a flash drive or USB drive with enough space to hold a copy of the game files (about 14GB), then you can bring along a copy of the game just so you can login and buy the QP from the store at the character screen. Don't need much graphics horsepower for this, just enough to get logged in.
- Copy your ...\Turbine\The Lord of the Rings Online folder to flash drive.
(Do not copy the two client_highres*.* files. Saves you 4.5GB of space.)
- Plug drive into the borrowed PC
- Run: ...\Turbine\The Lord of the Rings Online\TurbineRegisterGDF.exe to set the registry
- Run: ...\Turbine\The Lord of the Rings Online\TurbineInvoker.exe to start the game
- Purchase the QP from the character screen, log out, and dismount the flash drive.
If you don't have a big enough flash/usb drive, you can copy the files to DVDs and copy them onto the borrowed computer temporarily in order to login.
Ok, thanks a lot for the kind advice. Might be a bit too much hassle though to save a few bucks, so I'll wait until the next sale then probably. As I have all other questpacks, Forochel might not be too important to get right away
Just a bit sad that its only 1 day, would be home by wednesday.
For anyone wondering if Forochel is worth picking up.. stop wondering and buy it.
It's easily the best zone in the game to follow up Evendim (level 30ish to low 40s) if you're a mainly solo player who appreciates smart quest design, a beautiful landscape and a story/setting that are a little off the beaten path. With a few diversions here and there to pick up your first legendary items and skirmish, Forochel will get you all the way to level 50 when you can start your journey into Moria proper.
It's already a great pick up at normal price.. but at 50% off it's a no brainer.
I disagree with the assertion that you should start Forochel right after Evendim. Evendim's quests end at 40 and Forochel's start at 44, and some of Forochel's are hard (escorting that raven). I'd recommend early Angmar & Misty Mountains for 39-43 before going to Forochel.
A spaceship from another star / They ask me where all the people are
I tell them I'm the only one / There was a war, but I must have won

I've done Evendim a bunch of times after the reflow and never end up leaving before 41 or 42, and southern Forochel starts well at 43. If you want some extra levelling in the interim, or don't feel comfortable starting Forochel at 43ish then there are skirmishes and Epic quests that can easily fill the gap (and you'll want to start skirmishing at that point if you haven't already to earn the marks for your 45/50 Class quest items).
That said, it's easy enough to recommend Angmar or the Misties, and they both do have quests at that level, but if someone is considering buying Forochel in the first place it's safe to assume that they are not a subscriber and may not have access to every quest pack. If they are going to spend X TP on Forochel it's a little unreasonable to say that they should also spend X more TP just to buy a quest pack that fills in a few levels at most before they can start Forochel, especially given that there are other ways to easily fill that potential gap.
See, my sister just bought me 1500 TP last night, and I was wondering if I'm gonna spend it on those two quest packs or Fashion slots and Wardrobe slots.. And now I only need to spend 696 for the quest packs! Good timing!!
Me too - I bought forochel on my wifes account just fine and then 10 mins later it won't let me buy it on my account. Keeps saying there is an order processing problem
I already have sent a ticket to the customer support, because of an incident which is really weird.
I wanted to buy the Forochel quest pack, and got the same issues as others have already described. No matter if I chose Buy Now or the Shopping Cart option, as soon as the purchase was to be billed, the shop bailed out with an error.
I tried another character, and the same happened.
Then I switched servers, and when I opened the Shop, Forochel was gone. Into the unknown Void.
But there were no Turbine Points spent/charged/subtracted/whatever, they were as many as had been there when I had not yet tried to buy this region. Also, there was no confirmation email in my box.
And this while the offer is valid only for 24 hours. Great.
I decided to check the situation on the spot, sat my Dwarf on his Goat and made him ride, from Bree all along to Kauppa-Kohta. And to his amazement, the inhabitants had a whole host of pleas that they wanted to be fulfilled by him.
Or in other words: Forochel was activated; and Turbine hadn't noticed.
Of course I could have let it be as it was, and hope that it gets by unnoticed; but this is not my kind of dealing with people who provide me their service (this game). The Ticket has arrived; but I didn't get a specific answer yet.
(wondering about the face of the staff member who opens the ticket)
Polymachos, I had the exact same problem as you. I bought forochel on my sister's account first (she's on vacation and couldn't get to a computer) and then got the problem when trying to buy for my own 2nd account.
In the end I gave up and entered the game where I found to my surprise that I had access to Forochel. Not sure what happened but I had gotten Forochel. try to log in a character and go there. I'm betting you have it unlocked now.
I saw no tp points spent either or confirmation email but I could do the quests in forochel, so guessing the payment and email are just delayed.

I really appreciate this, I'm a Freep that isn't quite anywhere near level 40s on ANY toon, but bought Forochel (as I wanted it to be able to solo anyway) on sale, and though I'm not AAAAANYWHERE near 75, I'll buy GR too. Hey, half off is half off!!

Greetings, Polymachos
I thought this had only happened to me and I was thinking it might take some time for the TP to be billed. I'm logging in again and if they aren't, I'll just open a ticket like you did. I might not like all the decisions Turbine takes, but a deal is a deal and it would feel dishonest not to honor my end of it.
No sign of Forochel in my store. Nor tomorrows Great River in actual fact.
I've subscribed for a month but that shouldn't make a difference should it?
Unfortunately it does make a difference....while youre subscribed, you, technically, already have those quest packs available to you....so you cant find them in the Store.....and hence cannot buy them....I once missed a sale like this too due to being subscribed.....

Well thanks for the reply, even if it isn't what I wanted to hear.
I had a few days of sub left this month, but I'd rather drop it and buy the zones. Is that possible? If I cancel my VIP and drop to Premium, do I get to buy the zones from the store?

Unfortunately no. Cancelling your sub just prevents it from renewing again. You will remain VIP until your current billing period expires.
My VIP subscription ends at 8th July.
I was always annoyed why VIPs can not buy regions even if they have "RENTED them" status?
So its just for 1 day on sale Forochel and Great River and I just can not buy it. But I realy want.
So when my VIP expires i must spend almost 800 TP for Great River instead of half current price on sale.
I think if someone is VIP it should be realy set an option that VIPs can buy zones which are actually RENTED.
