I love this song and would love to have a solo version for harp. Sadly, I can't find a MIDI file anywhere, most likely because it's a fairly new song.

The dissonances are intentional, with the 9th/minor third/major third clashing a lot. The moods of the song change a lot between trad modal and dark blue.

I'm not claiming that the harmonic structure of this transcription is 100% correct (the vocal timing definitely isn't ); I was transcribing from Youtube by ear and I was in a hurry (hooray for copy/paste)! It should be close enough for jazz though ...

I could have "masked" the clashes but Jack White doesn't really. Some of it may be slightly masked by the original arrangement, guitars/steelguitar/doublebass/mandolin/fiddle/piano/drums/vocals (and probably some other stuff) make for a somewhat bigger voicing palette than solo harp. Try playing it on the very versatile lute instead (Phedelene's personal preference for something like this), you might find the sound more "familiar". I love having the harp in my LOTRO instrument bag but the inherent octave doubling, rich body resonances and prominent harmonics makes it less robust than the lute in my opinion.

Great ostinato song. It's like renaissance meets folk/blues on acid. Weird and haunting.
