Sorry, incredibly basic question re: user interface
This is something that I've got right in the past I think but now have got wrong and don't know how to fix.
I read through quite a few FAQs and whatnot but couldn't find an answer.
When I'm in a fellowship the names & vitals of my fellows are displayed in a vertical list down the left hand side of my screen.
If I'm a fellowship of more than a couple of players the vitals of those at the bottom of the list are partly obscured by the chat window. Is anyone able to point me towards a resource that explains how to re-position the list so that I can clearly see all names & details [and more importantly click on them as required etc]?
It really depends on screen resolution you are using - if you run into low ones, 800 or 1024 - then overlaying is inevitable. You can try minimize chat window size and pull it lower, to avoid the overlay.
"Ctrl" and "\" pressed together, will open the UI customization, tweher you can move the objects of UI to better suit your needs, pressing that combination again will end customization mode.
Thank you, Turbine, for listening and giving us an opt-out of FE! Good work!
there are definitely some resolution screen issues to consider. i've been experimenting with plugging my laptop into the back of big television using HDMI cable, this is no doubt partly to blame, I'll try playing round with ctrl-\.
It will be one or other that unlocks the ui. Certainly for me ctrl\ has never worked where the one I mentioned does, think it's to do with localisation and keyboards or something.
Remember that under your options, you'll find the UI adjustment section, in which you can change the size of most things on your screen. I tend to have it opened up and adjust things at the same time as I use cntrl \.
