    Scrap Book

It dawned on me earlier today that the best part of my LOTRO career has been in the moors. It also dawned on me that the WORST part was as well. But the forums are chalked full of bad memories.

I was looking thru all my screenshots over the time I was a freep and creep. And I got nostalgic. It was a simpler time then. Comraderie, teamwork, fellowship, a common goal.

I wantedf to open a thread to make a Riddermark Ettenmoors Scrapbook, of times and places that struck each of us as profound. Comments are welcome, please keep it clean. I found that looking thru the hundreds of photos I had....man, I had some REAL good times freepside and creepside. And forged profound relationships with people from all over the world.

This first pic is what I like to think described me, Thunderbow. I am alone in a darkened Glen Vraig. I have no raid, no fellowship....but I mount up and ride to whatever end seemed fit that night. I look at this picture and am reminded of Lothran, Boone, Evenia, Lofi, Meleo...all rogue hunters that had similar stories perhaps in the beginning, but each and everyone of us found our own path. Some freeps till, some creep, some moved on. We all made a living as a hunter, like us or hate us, it was what it was. And I like to think we were good.

So I hope this thread prompts freeps and creeps alike to share some memories that keep you coming back, make you glad you are a free person or a monster. Each and every person I have come in contact with in the Ettenmoors has had an impact on me and my gaming experience. For the highs and lows, I thank you all.

Sozu, Shazaam, Perthethos, Azusa, Meleo, Adino, Syras, Giggle, Gundamir, Proton and Atara....this is for you

Well after searching my computer, I could only find one good SS:

    http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/...hot00034-1.jpg
It is a SS with me and my good friend Grishaw/Leviosa/Kaize just grouped up together (with Tinderbox as well in this particular pic).

This SS shows what are among my fondest memories in Riddermark Ettenmoors. Chilling with close friends. No pressure whatsoever. If we win, we win. If we lose, we lose. The best part is just to play and enjoy the game with friends. That is the one thing that keeps me coming back. Hanging out with and fighting side by side with my fellow creeps and friends in Riddermark. No matter how bad things get, nor how frustrated I become, I always remember that I am lucky to have picked a server, out of all the other servers out there, with such great people on it.

I haven't been around very long, I started playing the game in April 2011, and just started PvPing at the launch of RoI. But even since the very beginning I have been surrounded by some awesome people, people who have helped me (I was then a complete and probably still am a noob) both in game and on the forums without me even asking. I am very grateful to know all of you and thanks for the awesome memories. I hope to have even more!

The first one is from my old server. There used to be a warg called Wargstalker that would be out 10 hours a day. Everyday.
Needless to say, being continuously jumped by him gave me a lot of practice. The first time I managed to kill him was a great day. This picture is of us both lying dead next to each other.

Like Tbow stated, the best and worst moment from LOTRO seem to happen in the moors. These are pretty recent, but after a somewhat unpleasant moment, Leadal and I dropped our weapons, equipped our instruments and went walking around the Moors. Just watching the reactions of the cool players, as well as the not so cool, totally changed my perspective of the Moors.....for the better. We are having more fun now. But these are a couple of our favorite moments.

Uduv went into walk mode and joined our stroll. Notice the the dps meter, showing my wicked dps from being previously ganked and fighting back with fists.

Playing music in front of red TR. A couple minutes later a big creep group showed up and broke our instruments.

This is why I loved being a mini

The start of epic GvG's at GTA

One of the coolest moments of my life was happening upon Good Lugz at the moment that Filet's entire creep force mapped there....There are way more creeps behind the screen shot. As I recall there was a fraid defending Lugz too while massive amounts of creeps were attacking.

Most amount of minis I've ever seen before they were OP. Also this was one of the most memorable and great RvR action I remember. Infamy and renown flowed both ways for hours upon end.

I remember the conga line to GV! I was the lone spider in there. Even a few freeps joined in. Some ran away and others didn't know what to do. Was it a trap, are these creeps insane? Haha

BigolLloyd I don't think creeps can hear freep music. I may be corrected but I remember some freep on the steps of Grams playing for us creeps. I couldn't hear anything. Creeps correct me if I'm wrong. What a shame turbine would block that.

6 man Aftermath heal stacked group literally stacked in a tree with the relic.

I miss being in a group as awesome as that on my captain. 2 Captains healing with 4 dps blowing up everything that tried to kill us. Group fights were amazingly fun for at least us. I think the best one was definitely by Mazauk's den where we had a 6 minute continuous fight and racked up 38 kills before we wiped. I wish the devs would give more than just wargs/spiders an update. PvP balance in this game does not exist.

Also of my friend and me rez camping Tbow (and dying) almost 24/7 at GV even when the freeps had blue map or my champion Dao soloing like a boss at lvl40 because I was too lazy to go PvE (I made it to r5)

HAHA! +rep Sozu! I don't just give out reputation, but thank you for showing one of my baby pictures. Those were simpler times when an ezmoder freep could be kept in check by a single creep. I was always that one dumbass creep to show up and defend a keep to no avail lmao! May fortune favor your blade!

You can use an image service to upload pics (I like imgur.com, you don't need an account and it has nice features) and then just link to them in the message. Apparently, you can just use the scrapbook on your mylotro page as well, but I've never used it.

To insert your image, there's a little image button in the toolbar you can click on or you can type the following:

    [ img ]http://YourImgURLHere/[ /img ]

(remove the spaces within the img tags)

This has more information on what you can do in the forums.

LOL leave it to Sozu to add some bitter jab. :P

I'm really enjoying looking at all these pictures. I wish I could share something or some sort of Riddermark PvMP memory. The good thing is that a large chunk of people on this server, I have played with on other servers. So the best memory is running into those people again and catching up over 4 years of playing LoTRO.

I used to have a lot more SS of memories of the Moors. but they were long since lost when my computer fried out. Here are two of the most memorable ones I have left:

In this SS (and I know this is going to sound crazy to newer creeps and freeps of Ridder) Adino had made us sit out for fights to make them more even. We would all take turns sitting out so the infamy/renown would flow for both sides. We fought out in the open and we did so for hours on end. We won some, we lost some, but it was always fun. I miss those times, and this is one of them....

In this SS, we were fighting a creep raid and lost them for about 20 mintues. We could not find them anywhere. We decided to check TR and all of a sudden an entire raid of spiders came out of nowhere. Needless to say we lost that fight (regardless of the many hunters we had, they couldn't keep up with the poisons) but I think that was one of the hardest laughs I ever had on freepside.

+rep Tbow for making this post. I have been playing with you on this server since I entered the Moors and you have made it much more enjoyable for me. Never will I forget the times of charging OC with you "For Frodo" while 8-12 other freeps watched in dismay as we wiped over and over. I am sure, that like me, you miss the way this server used to be, but unlike some, we take it as it comes and still enjoy this horrible game of PvP. Fight on you easy moding zerglet.

I remember that happening on both sides. It's a shame that doesn't really seem to happen anymore.

PvP in this game is god awful and currently seems to be the worst it's ever been. If not for the friends we've made and the fun we have together, most of us would be long gone. I'm glad that a number of us can zerg, rolfstomp, CJ, farm, etc. each other and still laugh about it and remain friends, knowing it's just a game and judging the person based on PvP is quite lame. Totally ok to judge them on their PvP behavior and call them fail for it though.

    Thank god for this...

I remember that 1v1 circle. Everyone wanted to 1v1 you, Tbow, because you were that hunter who is pretty much a virgin to 1v1ing and were just learning how to do so on a hunter.
