I agree with Bytez, especially about the elitist kin.
SILVERLODE:
Pros:
Most of the higher ranked creeps are really nice and helpful. Especially the wargs
.
Alot of fun fights, and I haven't seen many minis.
Warg pack every Saturday. YEAHYUH!
Cons:
Spies. (Hint for anyone that wants to play on Slode, if you see anyone with the name Tennis<whatever>, dont talk to them. Also dont post what youre gonna be doing on ooc, Tennis is ALWAYS on
.)
Elitist kin, as Bytez said.
Rarely do people fight away from TA and TR.
Zergs, though not very often, as far as I can tell.
I really hope Turbine does something good for PvMP for RoR, because my PC isnt fast enough for GW2. Im not VIP, but I bought the Warg class, which is awesome, and one of the few awesome tings Turbine did for the Moors,
making it F2P.
Edit: I almost forgot. DRAMA. DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA DRAMUH. DRAMALODE. Its honestly ridiculous. ITS A GAME, honestly... The drama is mostly between Apathy/The Moors Rejects and... Everybody else, basically. i dont care for Apathy really, but neither do I dislike them. Thats maimly because I dont know them
. I only know like two, but the two I know, Rubble and Lawtail, are cool. Oh and Lozgath. hes awesome.

Sums it up pretty well. We do have quite a few skilled players who enjoy soloing, but nearly everyday it just gets rather frustrating because theres atleast 2 stealthed creeps for one visible creep who is desperately trying to solo, or some nice freep zerg going on, or creep zerg. So you basically get jumped as soon as you engage in 1v1 situation. Lots of players also have respect to leave people who are "duelling", but there are also obviously people who dont give a f*** about these situations, and get the infamy/renown one way or another. And yea, <3 laurelin ooc on creepside. It's just hilarious from time to time.

Also, big changes are coming to Laurelin pvp, lots of old and known faces, raid leaders on both sides, but it will hurt creeps escpecially, are leaving and going to GW2 obviously and so coming on more and more rarely. So theres a bit of winds of changes incoming and we'll see how Laurelin shall survive from these.

Gilrain: More action on forums throwing mud at eachother than fighting in-game. Both sides only have 1 active raid leader and so both sides hug their keep until that guy comes on.
Morthond: 60v60 action. Lots of raids but mostly r6+ so still grinding quests to get that rank. Zerg or be zerged, but noone minds coz the action is just too damn good.

How about
Pros: -There are lots of nice high ranked wargs yes, though lately the higher ranked creeps have been sticking to their own little tribe groups, making things pretty boring in the moors. Still, Good going wargs!
-I do see SOME solo people in the moors, me included, who enjoy small groups and not this big raid junk that's been going on, I respect those few solos out there.
-1v1's are always around somewhere (unless someone decides to trash them)
-Freep glff, people are very nice in glff <3 makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
============================== ============================== ===========================
Cons: -Flippers, flipping to one side that doesn't have the map, taking it for that side, then switching back to take it for the other side. Haha let's stop that junk, it makes the server boring.
-Spies, Always always always worrying about spies in ooc, this gets pretty old.
-Giant raids, all day every day, yes there are a few solo people out there but people who say that they make groups of under 10 then noticeably have like 20? Come on now.
-Fights aren't spread out or are in npcs, The fights are ALWAYS at a keep, never in an open field, pretty boring to be honest.
That's about it for Silverlode, I've been on this server for 5 years now, how about making it better maybe? dunno.

Az if there wasn't so much stupid between everybody on the server, and Tennisfail left the game, I think it would be more fun. I dont see why people dont like Apathy... The only stupid things about hem to me are Tennis andthe "dont kill kinnies" &&&&. I mean, sure, do tha if ya want, I dont care, but I dont see the point in it.One con i forgot: Freeps standing there for half an hour killing mobs in TA quest room and tyrwnt room, then just run out...
Overall, I like Slode. Its better than the other servers Ive tried, except the not NA ones. I wanna try out Elendilmir, but its such a PITA to start a new warg from scratch.... I mean Im only R5, but at R0 you move so damn slow
. Also takes like 20 seconds to kill one slug...
Sorry bout any bad spelling, on my iPod and turned autocorrect off.

Actually more so than you might think. I see we are both in the same tribe too

I am definitely getting burned-out with the commendation grind. It is just radiance v2.0 really. Turbine even admitted radiance was a bad idea, yet they roll out similar system with commendations.
It almost certain they will ramp up audacity with the Xpac.
In a couple of months Freeps will be grinding levels, legendary weapons, shards, relics, empowerment scrolls, combat horse, new PvP armour, reputation etc. etc. etc.
It is hard to believe they would exempt Creepside from such a tedious grindfest

Landy:
Pros:
1. Creeps have more fun watching themselves explode. Honestly can't think of any that haven't been mentioned.
Cons:
1. Raidbabies, Zergs, flippers, PvE facerolls, rez camping, fight clubs, OOC/Tell rage, keep huggers, star huggers, combat loggers (not often, but still annoying), etc.
Ugly:
1. Certain sprinting and sheild-walling Guardian that "knows how things work", only shows when he's got a group of 24+.
2. The Cons occur everynight like clockwork.
3. Store tracking/buffing/branding high ranked so-called solo freeps that gank rank 0/1 creeps at quest areas.
4. Freeps that farm multi-boxing f2p reavers for comms and renown.

Snowbourn:
LUG GY Farming most evenings.
OC Zergs most evenings
Many Many scared Hunters who run if the wind picks up, yet easily nuke you down from 40m
Many Many scared Minstrels who run if the wind makes a noise.
Groups of 3/6/12/24 who only appear when its easy farming time.
HH farming in groups.
Many new Wardens
Many new Minstrels
Many new RKs
Easy moders who run in groups and hunt lowbies.
Then once in a while creep raid leader logs on and wipes the freeps, but then the freeps have 48+ 30 mins later and own the map :-)
So all in all its evenly matched :-D
Snowbourn is atrocious for easymoders, very few can solo so they dont even bother :-D

I am currently on two servers: Brandywine and Silverlode, but seeing as I hardly ever play my hunter on BW due to lack of interest in the type of PvP on that server (mostly zergs, wargpacks, etc.) I will put in my 2cents on Silverlode.
Pros:
-Great community, tons of fun ppl on alot and even though there is trolling and raging it is mostly all in good humour
-1v1s, compared to Brandywine there are way more 1v1s on Silverlode which makes it much more fun for me since that is one of the only things I enjoy in PvP at this point
Cons:
-Freeps, almost all the freeps on Slode who are consistently in the moors, well.. lets just say they suck. All they want is commendations and PvE it seems and they always run with only hunters (raidbaby hunters that is), minstrels, and a few cappies so the minis dont have to heal. It is completely unfair seeing as there arent many creeps on Slode who are on healer classes alot although some have adapted and roled WLs and the like. In most cases i would say this group combo is somewhat smart seeing as they are practically invincible, but they arent even grouped up most of the time. Its just a big solo zergball if that makes any sense.
-Creeps, the creeps are by far better than the freeps i would say, but they do have their shortcomings. As a result of being zerged, all they can usually think of is zerging back at the freeps and sometimes there arent enough freeps to zerg. So then the map gets flipped again and they run around looking for freeps.
-Tennis, well, what can i say?
-Flippers, there are a bunch of ppl on Silverlode who tend to flip back and forth to get on the winning side. This can get somewhat annoying, and i wish Turbine would put the lock on flipping to creepside on again :/
Despite the fact that there are a lot of cons, I would say that Silverlode is not a bad server considering that pretty much the entire games PvP is going downhill. I was hoping to transfer my hunter back to Silverlode actually, but it seems that Turbine hasnt even fixed that :/
yay Turbine!!

Not sure if I am the only one that feels this way, but does your server just feel...wrong?
Do people now takes things personally, rather than jokingly like they used to? Is there a lot of rage/mud-slinging on the forums? Do you feel that your server, in a sense, corrrupts you to the same mindset as the other people on it?
It just hit me that I was sort of on that path with my server...most of the posts are either rage, "he said, she said", mud-slinging, or QQ of some kind, and I caught myself (and others quickly alerted me to the fact) making a QQ thread of my own......glad I am taking a break from the game itself right now.

If Elendelmir or Brandywime could be considered the City then Dwarrowdelf would be a quiet town that has a special reputation.
Most of the time its solos, duos, small groups usually not bigger than 6 that roam the map questing and finding random battles or going to known hotspots looking for action. A common sight in creep ooc is 'Action?'. It has a very nice small town feel where you sometimes to pretty often haggle with your neighbor about just about anything but no real bad blood is ever had between creeps or freeps. Sure we have our people who have done or still do questionable things but in the end we all (mostly) understand its just a game and its designed the way it is, cant get mad over that. We have our major personalities, our quiet heros, our crybabies, our lone wolves just like any other server. It's a good community over all and lots of laughs are had and we're always keep on accepting new personalities, it always adds to the flavor of the server.
But every so often the moors lights ablaze. Intense fires rage all over the moors and massive battles can and have taken place.
Our little quiet town turns into Orlando on saturday night.
This can last all night, or for just a half hour, it varies. Then its back to being the quiet town where neighbors haggle over property.
Everybody loves a quiet little town.(•_•) Out numbered? Out gunned?

Frankly since Ainur (our only dedicated PvP kin) disbanded a few months ago, Dwarrowdelf has been pretty creep dominated. When the numbers are out of balance and the freeps are zerging, they can roll the map but if the numbers are fair the skill/experience on creepside is generally greater, depending on who is online. Certainly if the high rank creeps get raided up under an experienced leader, they tend to dominate a similar size fraid. There are a quite a few freeps who play but most of them seem to be casual PvPers who show up a couple of times a week, especially if their zerg is out.
I see that a couple of PvP-centric kins recently formed and I'm interested to see how they will turn out. Hoping to get some interesting raid vs raid going. Overall, it's a pretty good community but I don't have much to compare it to. I do know that a bunch of people transferred to Elendilimir in the spring and many of them are back on DD again with new creeps. I'm not sure if that means anything or not.Last edited by asearchforreason; Jul 05 2012 at 02:24 PM.

Just for reference the map is currently all blue. There's alot of experienced pvp freeps who are keep hogging right this moment, and not all of our experienced creeps are on to even take lugs back.
The flavor of the moors tends to change a bit. But the majority of the time its freeps who are over powered, pound for pound.
Creeps just have to compensate for this unballence. That's just the game, not the server.(•_•) Out numbered? Out gunned?

Riddermark (creepside)
Pros:
+ Highly cooperative players. Very active OOC; you always know what's going on.
+ Variety of styles: one can play solo, raided, small-grouped, 1 vs 1
+ Active most of the time
+ A decent veteran community
+ Both casual and hardcore tribes available
Cons:
- Freeps tend to show up only when raided and/or in huge numbers.
- Many of the freeps create OP groups, e.g., a few minis and rks. Those can be close to impossible to beat unless you have a commanding advantage in numbers.
- Quite a few of the battles are exceptionally slow. People are just pew-pewing and waiting for the other side to charge. Or one side charges, gets a kill or two, and backs off. This results in very low infamy gains.

I don't get it. The question is 'how is your server?' not 'how is Lotro PvmP?'. Most the complaints are the same no matter what server you're on. It's a drawback of the game design. You can't blame people for taking the path of least resistance. It's human nature.
Brandywine is still the best. We have it all, multiboxers, trolls, weepy tribes/kins, trolling creep tribes/kins, elitist tribes/kins, scrubby tribes/kins, good leaders, bad leaders, mega lag, rare moments of no lag, cliques, groups open to everyone, zergers, soloers, pve'ers, 1v1s, gankers for 1v1s, zergs for 1v1s, 1v1s that never get interrupted, transfers, veterans, veteran transfers, greenies, multiple prime times, multinationality players, warg packs, burg packs, facerolling classes in packs, invincible small group fights, wipable small group fights, exploiters, roleplayers, winners, losers, quiters and those who never give up.
Hope I didn't forget anything. Either way, I'm sure Brandywine has it.Mihiraa | Shock and Awe | Brandywine

Yeah, I agree with what everyone else has been saying about DD. Th problem with not many experienced freeps is that lately they ONLY come out when there's zergs and they can mostly just farm. Once enough creeps get on and roll them once, usually about half of them quit right away. Hopefully a few freeps will get experienced enough soon and not just zerg.

SNOWBOURN
Creepside perspective. Never played freep.
Pros:
+ Busy all day everyday. Can earn decent infamy/renown.
+ Good healing from healing classes. People splash around their heals which is great.
Cons:
- Unreal amounts of ranged combat. Pew pew can go on for 10 hours straight no exaggeration.
- Easymoders everywhere. Loads of minsers, rk's, hunters, wardens, and my god.. 75% of creeps are facerolling BA's.
- Bad quality players on both sides, not because they are stupid or just don't understand what is going on but because they are on easymode/faceroll mode/zombie mode whatever you want to call it. People just want to own. Dont care for competitiveness at all.
- Creepside OOC is as miserable as sin.
- Overall desire for good action is non-existent. People just want to earn points.
Overall Snowbourn is a 'head-down, iPod in, talk-to-nobody server' and that is on a good day. The action is awful but busy (credit where it is due) and the community does not exist. Don't come here if you're a people-person and/or a melee class.Last edited by Sn00g3ns; Jul 22 2012 at 09:24 PM.

....This post would make anyone want to visit Dwarrowdelf!
Foreal though, Dwarrowdelf really does have some nice PvP.. lots of ganking and PvE yes, but overall I love the moors on our server.
We don't have a huge population, but that's what makes it cool, you get to fight/ get to know the same people day in and day out. And it's cool to see how those people improve, thereby inspiring you to get better to stay competitive.
Lots of new people joining lately as well, so I think the future looks bright for PvP on Dwarrowdelf

Meneldor
Pro's
Veteran freeps/creeps
BiMonthly ThunderDome event. (1v1s, 2v2s what ever you want, vent supported arena)
Open vent with sections for creeps and freeps
Strong Core creep tribe.
Strong freep alliance when a raid is needed.
1v1s are nearly always respected.
Very respectful creeps and freeps that value challenge.
No-cooldown usage is mostly respected in planned and unplanned 1v1s.
Strong communication between creeps and freeps
Strong efforts from both sides to improve and maintain the combat.
Con's
Lots and lots of wargs. For every non warg you see there are .9wargs
We have more flippers than seaworld (not too much though, minority)
Creep pop is low at times.
We no longer have the raid v raids we use too, but it is coming back.
We have trouble getting freeps to back off at times.
Misc.
Generally, and traditionally Meneldor values equal parts solo and equal parts raiding/grouping. We usually don't group if it would destroy the balance.
Very few star huggers. Most of us don't care about dying or their rating. A lot of us feel filthy if our rating goes too high. We have an ongoing "good 1v1 thread" and no wartab threads.
Needed most
More creeps. Open invitation to any tribes out there looking to transfer.Last edited by Armitas; Jul 25 2012 at 12:02 PM.
