This will be used during the event.

The total prize fund for The Eldar Olympics is - 1000g
Each event that members of a kin take part in will gain their kin points. The higher in the event you come the more points you will win for your kin. The points gained will be as followed.
At the end of the last event the top three kins will win an additional prize.
1st - 150g
2nd - 100g
3rd - 50g
Each event has its own set of rules but the following rules apply to all of the events.
1. No Guardians are allowed to take part in any event that contains running due to the ability to trait for increased run speed.
2. The Bay Mount, Bloodbay Mount, Blonde Sorrel Mount and Chestnut Mount are the only mounts allowed to be used in events requiring a personal mount.
3. Maximum of 12 individuals can be entered from each kin for each event.
4. This is a fun event so please don't cheat.
5. There will be various anonymous event officials taking part in each event to monitor that everyone is following the rules.
6. If found cheating the individual/team will be disqualified from the event and their kin will face a 50 point penalty.
The calander for this event is as follows:

I apologise in advance for filling the forum with threads but it seems the easiest way to organise these events.
Events are open to all players, only teams consisting of players from the same kin can be entered into the grand prize.

Yeah I can see why its been decided that way, but surely then Hunters run buff and Champs skill and Wardens Run stance, and Captains run skill... How many classes are left?

Don't forget the Rune Keeper's 4set trait bonus: Calming Verse increases movement speed by 20%.
I guess I can come on burg and I promise not to use the DP +5% run buff
I believe the RK trait buff no longer exists. All other running buffs can be seen as buffs next to your character portrait which is why this will be monitored and you will be disquailified from the event if you use them.
Unfortunately in-order for fairness to classes that don't have any form of traitable speed buffs, Guardians have to be disclued from some of the events. If you check out all the events individually Guardians can still take part in many events.
I assume it is much easier to inspect the participant to see if he/she has a trait slotted, rather than monitor a temporal (less than a minute) buff speed on captains/champions/RKs/same poor guardians. Even the hunter's toggle is so easy to switch on/off when you see noone around.
But I am not making the rules, just feel sorry for guards
If you can monitor whether other classes use speed buffs, you can also check whether Guardians have "To the Rescue" traited. This is not an excuse for excluding Guardians.
Also, how will you monitor Burglars in stealth? With traits and legacies, burglars can get 95% speed in stealth. If they use the necklace with +8% ooc run speed, they will have 103% and be faster than everyone else. And you won't be able to see the buff, cause you won't be able to see the burglar at all.
I believe that was done already, as the Olympics dates match the Turbine's Summer Fun event perfectly well
Thought it might be but the prizes listed are all Gold which I just assumed was donated.
The linked page states that Turbine will be happy to sponsor events with Turbine Codes (for horses and stuff) and TP which I was trying to point out might attract more attention
Either way I wish all organizers and participants best of luck and good times.
